We booked at the last minute and Mandy was very friendly and said there was a pitch for us.
£10 a night plus electric, we only stayed one night although we originally wanted 2 but didn’t fancy driving home on a bank holiday Monday with all the traffic. Yes i would definitely recommend. Toilet available 24 hours, Elsan point, water and EHU well worth the money.
Nice cl
peaceful, easy access, well kept, nice welcome. Easy to reach supermarket for fuel and supplies, we would definitely stay again if in the area

Very well kept cl
Well kept cl clean and tidy c l, friendly helpful owners ,easy access to site 7 miles from Doncaster recycling bins available ,electric by meter £5 card available from the owner, toilet facilities no problem for us. We will certainly use this cl again when in the area
Poor Toilet Facilities
The site itself is level and well kept but let down badly by the toilet disposal.
The toilet is not soley for the camp site, as it says in the blurb, since it is used for the car repair workshop staff too and it is some distance away from the site, through gates and around buildings and cars.
There is a hosepipe outside quite some distance from the toilet where you can fill the toilet cassette and then lug back into the toilet, which is hard work for a anyone, but especially for someone with disabilities like us. The owner claims this is up to Caravan Club spec, but i wonder if that is true.
If the friendly and helpful owners could install proper waste facilities i'd give it a much higher rating
Another minor point... if you are following the directions from the 2019 CC book you'll get lost because the Post Office mentioned isn't there anymore.

A Real Gem
We were looking for some where to stop close to Thorne to attend a friends birthday party at the end of June. We found Chophole via the search facility on this site and we booked for 2 nights. We found the owners very friendly and welcoming, fellow site users very helpful and the local area very attractive. Using the loo for emptying the toilet cassette was no issue and the recycling area was to a good standard. The site was very peaceful and we ended up stopping for a third night. Overall a great find and excellent value for money.
Last minute overnight stay
We live around 10 miles away and wanted to book a local site last minute overnight stay with the kids and dogs.
First impressions, a lovley, idyllic well maintained site.
The owner advised she wouldn't be there at our arrival time which didn't bother us but she made sure we had some credit on the meter on arrival so we could hook straight up ☺ Electric is by way of £1 cards that you slot into the meter and any unused cards can be returned for a refund.
The kids loved spending time with the horses in the paddock and was great to watch them from the caravan later in the evening galloping around the field right next to us.
The owner is really friendly and helpful and told us about some great local places to go with the kids on our next visit.
The toilet waste facility is a loo round the back with a rinse off hose just around the corner, no great hardship and they have full recycling facilities for your rubbish.
Looking forward to a return visit in the next few weeks, my little girl loved it so much she cried when we packed up!
Thank you for a lovely last minute break 😊
Long Weekend
Recently stayed here for 3 nights - nice location, owners very friendly & helpful, facilities basic - electric hookup using card for payment. Toilet emptying was in lavatory shared with men working in adjacent garage, but was very clean. Local convenience store 3 minutes walk and good chinese takeaway 1/2 mile down road. Traffic noise from nearby motorway just audible but not intrusive.

A 3 day stay
Nice site clean and tidy, Flat across all 5 pitches,Cannot say the views were nice because its just farm land area, But its open area, the owners were nice people, The Electric is Charged per unit used so you pay for what you use, Plus 2 units cost am told for service,
But on the let down side there is Just a normal toilet to empty the toilet into and NO water to rince the container with, so it just empty and thats it, no hand wash,
There is no place to empty the waste water other than the toilets, and cant get in there with a wheeled Waste water container,so the owner said empty it on the gardens thats Ok so thats what i did, But again no water pipe to wash the container out, unless you use the drinking water one and that has no drainage anyhow,
So its a nice little site let down by those thinks and am surprised the caravan club allow it,

chill out weekend
just returned from weekend at this site very warm welcome , owners very helpful and pitches are perfectly flat very good condition grass well looked after theres a little news agent 100 yrds down road which is very well stocked . site very quite we took our son and his friend who fully enjoyed it with space to play and horses to watch run around highly recommend this site will defo return
Instant relaxation
We can endorse all of Julie's comments, though we did find local eating provision in one of the best Chinese take aways we have frequented a mere 400 yard walk away, and a quite acceptable carvery pub exactly one mile away.
As a couple back to caravaning after a ten year break, taking along a seven year old Grandchild. The welcome we received was exeptional, our grandchild was taken along with the owner on a dog/cat walk, where she was introduced to a young horse owner tending her lovely pony. The next thing we know said grandchild is receiving elementary riding lessons complete with hard hat! I am not sure just when the excitement she felt will pass ! Beautiful and safe walking is available within a mile from the site at the Hatfield Moor Nature reserve. Worth a visit
