The CL is situated in a paddock adjacent to farm buildings which shelter the site from the prevailing westerly winds, with expansive views over the Jed Water Valley towards the Cheviots. The field is fairly sloped so levelling blocks are required for most of the pitches. The 2 hardstanding pitches are only wide enough for a caravan so awings will have to be erected on the grass. There are a number of interesting waymarked walks through the farm fields. Jedburgh, with it's Abbey and Castle Jail, is about 3 mls from the site and has a Co-op. There are a number of cycle trails in the area, both along quiet lanes and off road. Although the site is only 1/2ml off the A68, the Edinburgh/Newcastle road, it is a haven of peace and quiet. Would not hesitate to use this site again when we are in the area.
