Great place, great views
What a delightful CL. We always head for CL's as we like the peace and quiet they offer and we were not disappointed here. We enjoyed these fantastic views enjoyed while having our breakfast of morning coffee. Then there's so much to do in the area and for us being about an hour or so from Edinburgh and Newcastle meant that we were able to see our children and grandchildren either by us going to them or vice versa. Being a working farm brought an added attraction to our two young grandchildren in the it just happened that some of the sheep and lambs were being gathered and they were able to watch. The walks within the farm are a great asset as is the presence of so many varied activities and things to do within a short drive. We are members of Historic Scotland and National Trust and there are still many of their properties and gardens that we didn't get to visit this time. Also, it is a CL that is great to just sit and enjoy, especially as we were graced with good weather. My only downside in recommending it is that it might become too popular and we won't be able to spend a fortnight here quite so easily next time.
