We recently visited this site for a few days and what views. The site is fully serviced as mentioned which is a real bonus. The slope to the caravan area is quite steep and in real need of pothole filling, but have been told this is being dealt with. If you have a large unit without a mover I would imagine it quite difficult to site, but not impossible. Each pitch is well spaced and hardstanding We would recommend heavy duty pegs for awning and skirt, as the ground is stony and hard packed, my husband got quite a sweat on!! It is a working farm so some noise from farm machinery could occasionally be heard but nothing to spoil your holiday apart from that a very quiet site. We found walks not far from site and visited Matlock, Bakewell on market day (Monday), and Carsington reservoir which has walks a childrens area and water sports, and a nice cafe. Would go back to this site, but would worry if windy as so exposed to give you that wonderful view.
