Campervan Visit May 2021
This review needs to be taken in the context of the unusually wet conditions in mid May. Very peaceful site with wonderful views over East Hill. Good access to extensive footpath network to the west (the local woodlands resplendent with bluebells). Access eastwards is more difficult and roundabout as walking down the main road is not advised. Parallel parking to the hedge made levelling reasonably easy.
We were very lucky to be able to get on & off the pitch as the road up to the site was awash with water draining off the fields. Fortunately there is a small amount of hardcore inside the gate so we had some purchase to drive over the grass onto the first pitch without getting stuck. Although we didn't see the owners, we knew that they were available to help if needed (with tractor!) and only a short walk away. Electric & water on each pitch. The chemical toilet emptying chamber was full, presumably the septic tank was affected by all the rain.
We would be happy to return in drier conditions!!
