Strubby Grange and MERLIN the deranged spaniel !!

Strubby Grange - Lovely place - roads in a bit narrow but you can see for miles (It's Lincolnshire - it's flat!!!). Stayed five nights very peaceful at night, during the day there is tractor noise etc, but that is only to be expected as it is a working farm. Owners lovely, typical gentleman farmers (no disrespect to gentleman farmers :-) ). Fishing excellent - 3 lakes in total - Home Lake (best day ever, 14 fish between us with nothingless than 7lb...happy days). Specimen lake also available (Didn't try that .....way too scary!!!) and the canal lake - ideal for the "silver men". Special mention must go to the newst dog on the Farm "Merlin" who can be seen chasing around and jumping up trying to catch pheasant that are 18 foot in the air. Overall a great five nights.........Home Lake and Merlin....be aware.....WE WILL RETURN :-)

Dick Turpin Rides Again!!

This site is very rural with the said Mrs Harvey ready to pounce as soon as you have arrived asking for CASH up front ( Hence the title Dick Turpin) with a very abrupt manner which wasn't very welcoming!! The site is exposed and VERY windy, if you are an angler, apparently it is good fishing. There were dogs running loose all over the pitches and lakes......needless to say we won't be visiting Strubby Grange again.
