Great Little CL

Just spent 3 nights on this lovely little site - nice peaceful site with the only noise you could hear was birds chirping, Is in a good position for exploring the beautiful new forest. The owner was very friendly and really helpful, would definitely return.

Lovely and peaceful stay

We stayed for a week at Strawberry Farm Nursery and would definitely recommend it. We could cycle directly from the site and onto the forest tracks which let us see some lovely scenery and a wide variety of wildlife. Mr and Mrs Chamberlain were very welcoming and they kept the site tidy with beautifully cut grass. There are plenty of places to visit within close proximity which makes this an ideal location to stay.

Pretty Little Site in lovely location

We have just returned from a Stay at Strawberry Farm Nursery. We called on the off chance to see if they had a pitch and were lucky enough to be able to book a 2 night stay due to a last minute cancellation. The site is located within the National Park with a ford and cattle grid at the bottom of the lane ( right out of the site) with easy access to the New Forest. To the left is a short walk to the village of Godshill which has pavement all the way. Follow the lane from Godshill to Woodgreen and you are taken through a beautiful nature reserve (at the top of a fairly steep hill) with gorgeous woodland walks. We cycled around the quiet lanes and across the forest tracks enjoying the scenery and stopped at some excellent pubs namely The Foresters, The Royal Oak (really superb Sunday Roast) and The Three Lions. Fordingbridge is just down the road if you need anything. If you follow the road towards Cadnam (left to the junction, then right) you will be treated to a scenic road tour of the New Forest. The site itself was very neat, and well kept with generous pitches which were really well spaced even with 5 units. The EHU was great (didn't trip) and the ground was dry even though we had had rain. You need to have your own facilities for this site and the phone signal is a bit hit and miss as is 4g etc but that didn't bother us at all. All in all its a pretty little non commercial site that's very quiet except for birdsong. The owners were really lovely and gave us a warm welcome. I suspect that they have a lot of regulars returning year after year and indeed we would love to return at some point too. Excellent value and a really enjoyable place to stay when exploring the New Forest.

What a wonderful site, shhh don’t tell too many people!

Easy to find following the site instructions, no difficult roads. The field was fairly level & well layoff out. The welcome was wonderful, what a lovely couple Mr & Mrs Chamberlain are, very friendly & accommodating. Great eggs & other items available. We would happily return, can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you both.

Cracking site.

We love this site for its peace and tranquility, owners are very warm and welcoming and if you have a problem they will try to help. Great for dog walks across heathland and to local pubs. Easy access and nice well drained flat pitches. Speaking to the owner and can't believe how many people don't turn up without giving the courtesy of ringing to cancel booking ,may be a good reason to stay taking deposits?. Definitely one of our return to cls.

Fantastic Site and Owners

We have stayed here 5 or 6 times and thought that we should write a review. The site has good access and is situated within walking/cycling distance of many beautiful villages within the forest. The site is a short walk from Sandy Balls where you can use the pub and shop. The site is well maintained and we saw deer in the adjacent field. The site is so peaceful only the sound of birds in the morning. The owners are lovely people and always helpful. Jason helped us fix our electric bike and didn’t want anything in return.free range eggs and seasonal veg on sale too. I would definitely recommend this site to others.
