Perfect stay with your dogs

Beautiful and extremely well kept site. Worth staying here just for the secure well looked after dog exercise paddock alone. Miles of dog walking to be done from the site with Cannock chase just being a stones throw away from the site. The site owners Martin and Deborah are very welcoming and dog friendly. We'll definitely be back for more dog adventures. Dragon and Data say thank you for their ice creams 🍦🐾 🐾 🐾

Exceptional CL

We are just back from a 2 night stay wished it was longer. The reception we got from Martin and Deborah was so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The site is so lovely we loved waking up next to the paddock with sheep, lambs and ducks the toilet/shower rooms are modern spotless and definitely 5*. The site is great for walks long or short, cycling or using public transport to get about with a bus stop so close. We will be back. Thank you Martin and Deborah for our lovely stay. Almost perfect

Immaculate site, excellent facilities, (especially the toilet/shower block), and perfect hosts. Proximity to the A34 does produce a little road noise at certain times of the day, certain days of the week, and wet weather conditions. However, seasoned travellers will have ear defenders, and we've stayed at CL sites where the noise pollution has been considerably worse, and come from other guests, a far worse problem. Excellent pub, The Chetwynd Arms, within walking distance, and a large, enclosed adjacent field for dog walking. Well stocked reception with quality local fayre, and an excellent base for exploring a plethora of local historical sites. Just 45 mins from NEC, Birmingham. Also adult only, a bonus for some. 9/10, and only because of the nearby A34. Pretty much faultless otherwise. Martin & Deborah, thank you, very much. We will be back. ;-)

Amazing Site

Organising the booking and paying the fee was simple and straightforward. On arrival we were provided with an information pack and six free eggs. There's a small shop in the site office with the basics and a lovely range of Mrs Darlington jams etc. The ground is very firm. The pitches are level and posh gravel. They are well spaced out. The toilet block is immaculate. One toilet and shower each for the males and one for females. Radio playing. Even display comical postcards for a smile a day. The facilities are amazing. The only downside for us was being on the A34 so traffic noise is more or less constant. This didn't bother us at all just thought I would mention it in case you're light sleepers. In short an amazing site run by a lovely couple.

Great Find

This site is brilliant with lovely spaced pitches and immaculate facilities. It is ideally placed for visits to Cannock Chase. The site is very dog friendly with a secure exercise field. The only downside is the A34 road which is adjacent to the site. This can be very noisy at times with tractors, lorries and ambulances regular passing. It didn’t bother us much as we live near a fairly noisy road but I would imagine some people would find it fairly annoying. The ducks were hilarious with their regular visits to the camping field every evening. The complimentary hens eggs were delicious. We would return.

Fabulous CL

We spent 4 nights at Spring Paddock in September, and chose it because of so many positive reviews. From the minute we arrived we knew that was a good decision. As we pulled into the drive, my husband said, 'This is like a mini club site', and over the 5 days there was nothing else we could think of that could have been provided. Deborah greeted us with a cheery smile and a sanitised key fob, and gave us a quick tour of the facilities. The site was level and clearly marked out. After pitching, we were asked to bring the car to an adjacent parking area, a policy which clearly helps keep the grass in brilliant condition. Deborah was forever cleaning and tidying and weeding round the site, so the site generally and the toilet block were spotless: but all her work was unobtrusive and the 'rules' didn't feel like over-regulation. This was our first trip away this year because of the Covid restrictions, and although we had charged the battery, it failed and our fridge didn't work. Martin kindly loaned us a leisure battery for two days until we could buy a replacement, and found us some (covid secure) space in the office fridge. We were a bit worried because some reviews had mentioned road noise, and some made it sound as though they were within feet of the M6. There was a tiny bit of traffic noise as people travelled to and from work morning and evening but it was hardly noticeable and didn't disturb us at all. It was an easy drive or walk to Cannock Chase from the site and we saw plenty of deer and birds, including a kestrel which circled within feet of us. We left for home with a jar of delicious onion relish from the site shop and a promise to return in the near future.

What a find!

We recently spent 10 days at this fabulous CL and we've already booked to return. If you have dogs there is the bonus of this CL being the most dog friendly site we've been to. The CL has a large fully enclosed field which our 3 dogs loved, toys and poo bags are provided. There is a pretty wildlife area with picnic tables, a large duck pond and resident friendly sheep. The shower and toilet facilities are immaculate, one for ladies and one for gents. There are hand sanitiser dispensers everywhere, even the barrier key fob had been sanitised and sealed in a pouch prior to arrival. Martin and Deborah are very welcoming and have obviously put a lot of love into this site which is handily situated near Cannock Chase for anyone who likes walking or cycling. Yes the site is next to the main road but it honestly never bothered us in the least. This CL is going to be one of our regulars in the future x

Immaculate and highly recommended lovely site run by a great, helpful and friendly couple

If you are looking for a CL site in the Midlands, we can highly recommend Spring Paddock CL site near Stafford. Just off the A34 between Stafford and Cannock, so good access to the major supermarkets etc within a short drive and also very close to the wonderful Cannock Chase, a large area of natural woodland and open heathland with miles of walking and cycle routes. We were very impressed with this beautifullly well maintained site, it was absolutely immaculate, with hardstanding, gravelled pitches and plenty of lovely space, the grounds include a very large enclosed exercise field for dogs, even provided with a covered dog toy cupboard of balls etc. There is a separate enclosed nature area with duck pond, fire pit, seating and picnic table. The toilet/shower facilities were kept spotless and a lovely touch in the loo of scented reed diffuser and artwork of cheeky seaside postcard that is regularly changed for a little bit of humour! The waste and water provision is also excellent with the benefit of a nice long hose for filling. There is a substantial, gravelled parking area for those with caravans to leave their cars or for visitors to park. Deborah and Martin were great hosts, so helpful, friendly and welcoming they made our stay so less stressful after arriving with an electrical issue with our motorhome, Martin contacted a local auto electrician where we took it for a repair. They have free range hens so there are fresh eggs available and in the office there was a selection of food provisions including a wonderful selection of jams and chutneys and local information available. Martin and Deborah only started this site in 2019 and have worked hard to create an immaculate and really welcoming site. We were in the area having travelled down from Scotland to visit relatives, had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back there again next year.
