Lovely rural setting with huge sky and lovely sunsets
We stayed here for seven nights. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The grass pitches drain very well and are large and flat. Mains power is metered - a very good system in our opinion. There is an adequate electricity allowance included in the pitch fee which we only just exceeded over the week, so you only pay for the excess. The CL is secured with an electric gate - a good feature. The location is near the lovely villages of Ryhall and Belmesthorpe where there are several pubs in easy reach. Stamford is nearby and well worth a day's visit. There is also easy access to A1 north and south and we did visit a number of places wider afield such as Belton House (NT) Rutland Water and Oakham. The views from the site are lovely, especially the beautiful sunsets. Helen provides detailed guidance on the approach through Stamford but you can alternatively avoid Stamford by coming off the A1 north or south and taking a minor road to Ryhall. This CL is relatively new and we think it is a gem that will only get better as it matures.
