This was our first visit to this site and I can say we were very happy with our choice. On arriving we called at the house to meet the owners, who gave us a welcome chat and saw us onto our pitch. The gate is coded electric, so you are safe in here! pitches are very level with some good sized hardstandings recently created, which I am sure will extend their season. I noted some touches that tell you these people are seasoned caravaners, in that the grey water empty point has been modeled in such a way you roll up un bung and all is down the drain in a jiff, no having to try and lift a heavy unit or crafty night time hedge emptying needed here, also a nice info shed. Skybarn has its own windturbine as well, so a reduced carbon footprint. I was told the turbine runs all the farm and house as well as all the caravan pitches, green as it comes I think. A little beyond on the skyline, you can see times of old as Lincoln cathedral shimmers on it's hill top perch. Nearby is some good shops and a good choice of fast food if you are late arriving. Whisby water park is on the door step to allow some good walking, if the country walks from this CL are not enough. All in all, we would like to make a return visit in the near future. Nuff said I think!
We had just picked up our new van and needed a close to home trip away to try it out and chose Skybarn CL as it was close to my sister who was having a Birthday. We had loaded all our bits and bobs and this had made us a little later than the arrival time we had agreed but a quick phone call to Nicola and it was no problem. We arrived and as soon as we had pulled in Nicola was there to let us in and meet us with a lovely welcome and information sheet and code to enter the gate when we needed too, so good security. We had a great time and Nicola and Richard have done an excellent job with this CL, clean, tidy, quiet with new hardstandings and close to all the sights that Lincoln has and close to some good eateries. It is a working farm but being allowed to walk around the edges of the fields provided good walking with the dog.
