A great CL

Stayed here for Feb half term. A well set out site, with easy access, and good facilities for a CL. Especially good is the wifi which is far better than that on most club sites. Access from the A46 is simple and the site is well located for Lincoln and other local attractions. We'd definitely use it again. Hard standings provided, but the field was also OK despite the recent rain, so if you don't get hold of one of the 3 hard standing pitches the rest of the field is still OK even without a 4x4.

Likely to be a firm favourite!

We chose to visit this CL as it is ideally placed for Lincoln and the surrounding area, but far enough away from the City to be a quiet and relaxing place. All I can say is that from booking to departure the whole experience was a pleasure. Easy to find and get onto site, but with good security via automatic gates. The pitches are a very generous size, we had a very level hardstanding, with EHU close by. Easy to use waste, water tap and recycling, the information hut is full of leaflets, guides and magazines, and the lights work automatically which is great for full hands and less light pollution! The dog walking straight off pitch is along well mown grass verges at the edge of fields so is perfect, even in the depths of Winter! Our dogs loved it as you can give them a proper walk. The CL area is generous, fenced and has some plantings, no doubt a riot of daffodils in Spring! Being only a short distance from the A46, there is a little bit of traffic noise, but nothing excessive and it does make getting out and about easy. Twenty minutes easy drive to Cathedral, which can be seen from site. Newark is fifteen minutes in the other direction. There is lots to do in this area, we can recommend the little Transport and vintage vehicle museum in North Hykeham just 10 minutes away. Very good free wifi for those who like to stay connected. This is a lovely, well thought out CL, a credit to the owners Nicola and Richard, who deserve the wonderful reviews they have gathered since opening. A welcome second to none, thank you!

What a find!!

As other have said, the site is easy to find, very flat with 3 large H/S pitches as well as plenty of room on the grass, for those that prefer it. There is a coded security gate, a well appointed information cabin with walking and cycling leaflets as well as the usual tourist information, and free WiFi!! There are plenty of walks close by and many of the local villages have free parking at Community Centres/Village Halls. Lincoln is a cycle friendly city with many specific routes in and around it. The nearest supermarkets are Asda at North Hykeham, 2 mls away and Aldi 1 ml further along towards the city. The fields by the site are grand for taking one's dog for a walk and one might just see a Golden Eagle!! The nearest pub is about 2 mls distance, but I can't say how good the meals are. Nicola, Richard and the 2 Springers made us very welcome and were most helpful with local information. The only down side is that one can hear the traffic noise from the A46, but it didn't disturb us too much. We will certainly return as even after a 15 day stay over Christmas we didn't get to see all that we wanted.

STAYED HERE FOR STEAM PUNK W/END. WHAT A GREAT CL- CODED ENTRY/ IMMACULATE TOURING FIELD WITH 3 HARD STANDINGS ,EASY ACCESS OFF THE A46 AND THE TIDIEST INFORMATION LEAFLET SHED I'VE EVER SEEN. LADY OWNER MET US ON ARRIVAL WITH INFO SHEET WITH SHOP, BUS INFO ETC, AND CHECKED WE'D HAD NO PROBS ON DEPARTURE. ONLY PROB WE HAD WAS GROUNDING OUT ON EXIT DESPITE CREEPING OUT BUT IN FAIRNESS TO THE OWNERS U ARE WARNED ABOUT THIS AND OUR CAR IS A VERY TIRED MPV WITH TIRED SUSPENSION- NEXT TIME I'LL MAKE THE WIFE AND KIDS GET OUT AND WALK!ALL THIS FOR £11 A NIGHT FOR FAMILY OF 4. Great CL

We have just had a 10 night stay at this great cl from arrival to departure Nichola & Richard the owners cannot do enough for you, ,site has all facilities including information hut, good access from main road and security gate to which you get a code number ,not to far from main supermarkets for all your needs , three hard standing pitches and two more planned, plus future Wi-Fi , a bit road noise from A46 but do not let this put you of staying here after a couple of days you hardly notice it, good views towards Lincoln Cathedral which is lit up at night, will certainly make return visit. PS good luck to Nichola who is doing a sponsored walk up Ben Nevis for Breast Cancer Support in two weeks time.

Everything I need from a site!

Arrived Monday 30th June, having been in contact with the owner prior to arrival we had been given the security code for the entry gate. Met at the CL by the owners son who was grass mowing. (site very clean and tidy). Friendly welcome, he handed us a list of local information which had been left for us. site very close local shops in Lincoln. We were in the area visiting friends and relatives. We booked this cl on the personal recommendation of relatives who had stayed there last year. I would certainly stay there again.

Our first visit to Lincoln

Cannot fault this site. Easy access from the A46, wide entrance with a security gate for peace of mind. Large pitches with 13amp EHU.This is a perfect location if visiting Lincoln and surrounding area. We stayed 3 nights but if time had permitted we would have loved to have stayed longer. Looking forward to our next visit.

First Visit

Stayed for 5 nights early June/14. Owners have gone to a lot of trouble and expense in creating the CL, deserve to succeed. excellent facilities. Ideal spot if like us, you take your cycles to get the best of exploring the area. Some distant noise from main road but you will hear the early birds dawn chorus above that.

Perfect little CL

A new site with space for five vans (three hard-standing), all level.  The site has an electric gate so secure, with the caravans hidden from the little dead end country road. The site consists of full electric, drinking water tap, waste drainage and cleaning tap and a lovely information shed (no toilet or shower). Both owners were lovely and helpful, we were visited twice by a large hare and even though the main bypass is quite close the noise is minuscule.
