Warm Welcome

This proved a very convenient site for visiting Lincoln and surrounding area. The site is secure and well maintained. Appreciated the well stocked information hut and being able to walk the dog around the fields.

Short winter Break

We booked in for 6 nights, having been here before we knew we would be well looked after. The water emptying point has been refurbished due to moles under mining it. We had a fantastic time with sunrises and sunsets that took our breath away. The facility's are  top notch. Try the royal Oak at Auborn its small but very friendly with a good Chef. Thanks again Nicola, we will be back.

New Year Stay

We stopped here for the second New Year in a row. The previous review says it all really. Can add that there is a dog walk around the fields, and that the site is only a couple of miles from Whisby Nature Reserve which has a number of waymarked walks. There is some road noise from the A46 Lincoln/Newark depending on the wind direction, but not enough to be any bother during the night. The nearest pub is in Aubourn a couple of miles away by road, but can be reached over the fields. Hope to return again in the future.

Shining Example of how to set up a CL

Booked with Skybarn at the last minute as another CL had let us down.  Easy to use website allows you to see if they have a pitch available for your required dates and then a few more mouse clicks and you are through to the registration and payment page. It didn't take long to finish on the web as payment is only needed upfront for Bank Holidays. Arrival information and gate codes were sent through within a few hours of the booking so we knew exactly how to get there and access the site. We were also told we were the only ones booked in for the weekend so we could pitch up in any place we wished.  On arrival we were greeted by the hosts who were back from a walk with the dog and had seen us pull up so thought they would check everything was all right as it was our first time on the site. Well we could have no complaints with the welcome or the site. It is laid out in a sensible pattern with five hard standing pitches with enough space for both the car and caravan to remain on the hard standing while each pitch also has a grassed area that will leave space for out door living next to a large awning pitched on the grass and you still would not be disturbing the neighbouring caravan. No shower or toilet block but when you have them in your caravan why do you need them on site which would just push the price up. They do have points for emptying grey waste and toilets, plus multiple bins so that all waste can be recycled or in the case of food scraps reused on the farm itself.  They also have a wonderful information shed that has leaflets (that are upto date) for the surrounding area and attractions along with maps and also they have supplied polystyrene Hot/Cold boxes so you can take cold drinks on a day trip or if you are fetching a takeaway you can use one to ensure it is still a hot meal when you are ready to eat. It is an excellent site and as much as it pains me to say it I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Lincoln area (I am pains to recommend it as I do not want to find I am unable to make a booking due to increased popularity!!) We will certainly be making use of this site for visiting friends in Lincoln.

Well worth a visit

A lovely CL with 5 hard standing pitches on the outskirts of Lincoln. Received a warm welcome, facilities explained & shown, even when it was raining heavily. We will be returning.

Just how a CL should be!!

Just returned from a foggy weekend in Lincolnshire.  This CL is one of the best we have visited.  Very full information provided to visitors.  Booking made very easy via the website. All hardstandings with easy access to water, EHU, toilet waste and recycling bins. Don't be put off by the slight traffic noise from the near adjacent A46; only really noticed during rush hours.   Perfect siting for access to Lincoln (10/15 minutes away).  Shopping/fuel (Asda) just a few minutes away; local Co-op even closer. Made very welcome on arrival and very helpful with local knowledge of area. Try the The Royal Oak in Aubourn for good food, just 5 minutes by car. Will certainly be back when next visiting friends nearby.

Just like the gallery pictures

A first class site with superb access. 5 hard standing pitches with 16 amps. Other facilities adjacent and an excellent info room. Friendly welcome from Nicola. Easy run into Lincoln. The only downside is that there is some road noise- the price for such easy access, but not intrusive. We will return.

Lovely CL

We stayed here the last weekend in September, and found it very convenient for visiting the Lincoln Show.  We also visited the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight base, which was very interesting. The way into Lincoln on bicycles is easy, mostly off road but be aware that there is some that is on a fairly busy road. The only reason I have marked down for tranquillity is that we live in a very quiet area, and we did notice the road noise, someone from a more urban area would probably find it very quiet. Having said that we would not hesitate to return to this site when we visit the area again, the welcome was very friendly and the pitch and facilities were spot on. Directions and access were very good
