One of the Best.

We have been travelling around for 4 months (from NZ) using mainly CL sites and The Siding is one of the best for sure. Everything you could want. So clean and tidy and well maintained. Thought put into everything. Really flat, didn’t need the levelling blocks which was a nice change. Lawn was mown but no loose grass. A clean toilet available in a great shed, along with washing machine and drier. Book exchange which was much appreciated. Spotlessly clean rubbish bin area. Easy access from the road (no tricky gate to negotiate!) . And best of all a genuinely warm welcome from Hughey the owner. Certainly a CL site to recommend. Thank you so much...we didnt want to leave.

Excellent CL - Very pleasant

As a first time owner of a new caravan and on my first trip, I couldn't have landed on my feet more with Hugh. I had warned him of my novice status and he gave up his time to help me pitch and get settled. The site is extremely well maintained, easy access from the road (that can be a little noisy in the mornings) with the pitches well separated, and the grass maintained short. Having two dogs, the access (via a wide grass verge) to an easy dog walk was really useful. Hugh came over on my last morning as he wouldn't be there for our departure. I assured him then that I would certainly be visiting again. I also found out that the other caravanners on the site were very helpful when I had an issue when hitching for departure. I really landed on my feet at this site. Thank you Hugh. (P.S - Thank you hens for some gorgeous eggs)

Immaculate CL

An immaculate CL ..... kept to an outstandingly high standard. A very warm welcome. Owners are very friendly and made us feel very at home. Basic but very clean WC and utility room. Dog walk from site is ok once you get there but a bit of road to navigate before you hit a tarmac track .... only down side for us otherwise really enjoyed our stay and have to hand it to the owners try really do ale an effort.

Oh yes it lives up to a promise

If we wanted to make a negative comment, it would be impossible ! Hugh and Fliss went out of their way to make you welcome and nothing was too much trouble, the pitches were well spaced out and very well maintained by Hugh who is such a nice guy, helpful without being in your face. Available on site is fridge/freezer a washing machine and a dryer both of which are available at a nominal charge (bring your own powder) The site is very well situated and is within easy reach of most places of intrest, a small Tesco and a large Morrisons situated in Fakenham which is only a few miles away. Holt is a very nice town and has a Adnams Brewery shop selling their own beers, wines, gin and single malt whiskey. Most of the pubs allow dogs however it's a shame that there is not one within walking distance. Beaches are not that far away and most also allow dogs, Holkam hall has a seperate large beach area with wild life, however they do tend to nest in the marsh areas parking is about £3.50 for two hours and you can get a drink and light snacks there. There is a good long walk way not far from the site. If you go we are sure you will love it

Great CL

Only stayed for one night but can’t fault this CL. We arrived unannounced having been let down by another CL and luckily for us they had availability. Hugh could not have been more helpful and explained where everything was. This site is spotless and well cared for. Will definitely be back. Oh and the freshly laid eggs are amazing. Easy access for Fakenham.

Great site

Stayed here early December 2018. Nice welcome board telling you where to pitch. Hughie introduced himself and quickly showed me where the various service points were and then left me to set up. Surprisingly quiet considering it’s quite close to the road and think this is helped by being behind the house and outbuildings. The field is well kept and reasonably level. It’s possible to pitch and just have lovely views across the adjacent fields. Dog walking along a nearby by-road is accessed by a short walk along the road which has a grass verge. Perfectly placed for exploring the North Norfolk coast and the numerous inland attractions without being too far off the beaten track.

A Great CL

You know you are on to a good thing when you see your name on the Welcome Board! Hugh is clearly passionate about his CL, I have never been on such a tidy and organised CL in 25 years caravanning, from the immaculately mowed grass to the perfectly aligned and painted fence posts, this is a delightful place and a credit to the owners. Handy for the north Norfolk coast and Norwich is easily accessible (careful which Park and Ride you go to, one only goes to the hospital), and there are walks and other information in the old stable plus toilet, washing machine and dryer. The very occasional Chinook helicopter noise from the nearby RAF base is a surprise at first but not bothersome. We have never been to the same CL twice as we like to try different ones and different areas but this will be the exception.

First class CL

This CL is pristine. It is well sign posted with easy access. The grass is kept like a lawn and there is plenty of space on each pitch. A very clean toilet is available in the information room, which also houses a washing machine and drier (honesty box adjacent). The only reason I gave 4* for peacefulness is that there is some low level aircraft noise, but it was not at all intrusive. Hughie, the site owner, is extremely friendly and helpful, even to the extent of allowing us to keep our cycles in a locked shed. Very highly recommended.
