shelt Hill

Visited the site in April 19. It's a fairly new site and for 3 night stay we were the only van on the site. it's only about 10 minutes walk into Woodborough, which has a couple of pubs (dogs allowed in the bar at the Nags Head, which also does food) and a local shop. We were visiting relatives so didn't go sightseeing, but Nottingham, Rufford Abbey etc are all within easy distance, and there's a nice public footpath that runs past the entrance for walking the dog. The Site was clean and well mown when we were there. The toilet is near the CL entrance and shared with the fishermen. It seemed to be a very popular fishing venue with competitions on at the weekend and quite a few people around during the week, but still very quiet. The entrance isn't obvious if you are looking on Google Maps beforehand, as it mentions an electric gate that doesn't appear on Google maps (yet). As you come down Shelt Hill there is a village sign for Woodborough, and immediately past that a lane on the left with a footpath sign, which is the entrance you need.
