We spent 3 nights here and will return as such a beautiful site, with lovely hosts.
Grass with lots of space between units, fabulous view and easy access from main routes. You can park your van or motorhome in any orientation on your pitch - came as bit of a surprise as newbies that not all sites allow this.
The dog walk is large and clean, Ruby enjoyed herself as well.
Lovely friendly owners who couldn’t do enough for us - folder with local info given us on arrival, even stopped the traffic so so that a caravanning newbies like us could pull out easily when we left!
Couldn’t ask for more.

Another lovely stay
We have just got home from our third visit to Shamwari, having had another wonderful stay at this superb CL. We can't rate it highly enough. Thanks again to Carole and Martin. We'll be back!
Oasis
We had our third visit here for 16 nights. It is peaceful with lots of space, the views are fantastic. The pitches are well maintained. Plenty of places to visit and beaches are close. There are nice restaurants in Axminster. The thing that makes this place so special are the owners Carole and Martin they really want you to enjoy your stay there and appreciate the beautiful surrounding area. Everything was spotlessly clean, good recycling system in place. Well do Carole and Martin see you again soon.

Once again, a fabulous CL
We stayed most recently at 'Shamwari' 5-10 August, and despite variable weather, once again loved our time there. Our last review of our stay in July 2020 said this: "We have just come away from a 5 night stay at Shamwari, and we will definitely be back. An immaculately maintained, secure site, with well spaced large, level pitches, beautiful views over the Axe Valley, and stunning sunsets! Carole was so helpful and welcoming and we can wholeheartedly recommend this lovely CL. Thank you, Carole and Martin, from Wendy and Phil". What more can we say, except perhaps an even bigger thank you to Carole and Martin for their support and understanding over our issues with our towing vehicle and family comings and goings! Needless to say, we have booked to come again, and, together with the warm welcome, we can't recommend this CL highly enough. Thank you again, Carole and Martin, from Wendy and Phil.
Beautiful site
Spent 3 nights here and will return as such a beautiful site. Grass with lots of space between units, fabulous view and easy access from main routes.
Lovely friendly owners who couldn’t do enough for us - folder with local info given us on arrival, produce from Carole’s garden and even stopped the traffic so we could pull out easily when we left! Couldn’t ask for more.
Sublime site
Visited Shamwari for the first time and hope it wont be the last. Greeted by a smiling Carole who explained a few things regarding the site and showed us to our pitch. We could pitch our van any way we wanted on a very gently sloping very well kept grass site. Loads of space as with every other pitch, recycling area with fresh water and chemical toilet point all within a short walk so you are not chasing around the site. Dog walk also available should you need it. The first thing that hits you is the friendliness of Carole and Martin, the second thing is how quiet and peaceful it is even though you know there is a road around 150 to 200 yards away, and the views are simply divine. Carole visited us on a few occasions just to make sure we were happy with everything and a chat. Very obliging hosts who own and run a very easy going efficient site. I really want to keep this site secret, probably like other visitors but I feel it necessary to comment on a wonderful week spent at Shamwari. Axminster just on the doorstep, Musbury, Axmouth Seaton and Beer all within a 30 minute drive. Charmouth and Lyme Regis just a little further. Plenty to visit, just ask Carole if you are unsure. Many many thanks for a great stay at Shamwari, thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Peace and tranquility
Returned again after another strange year. Fanatastic place and Carole and Martin are so welcoming. We will be coming again as this is one of most popular CL’s.
Wonderful site.
First time on this site, what a lovely place to stay and Carol was most welcoming. We will definitely be back.

What a fantastic CL site
Stayed here twice now, what a lovely site this is. Both Carole and Matin are very welcoming, it is in a perfect place to see either Devon or Dorset. With beaches only a couple of miles away, easy access and adult only suited us for a perfect weekend away. Magnificent sunsets every night, we both look forward to returning to this little Gem can’t wait.

We had to stay longer!!!
It is not that we dislike children, but we do like to use 'Adult' only sites as we enjoy the peace and tranquility that these sites provide and Shamwari is certainly a peaceful site. Carol and Martin have the site laid out perfectly to provide everyone with privacy and are on hand to provide advice and support throughout the day. The site is neatly hidden away from the road and is secure thanks to a gated entrance. The field at the side of the site ensures that dog owners can let their dogs run free and not therefore around the caravans! I needed to complete some work on my computer and by doing so it allowed us to stay an extra few nights which was fantastic thanks to the excellent 4G signal. This allowed me to Hotspot my computer. The TV signal was also excellent which I didn't expect in such rolling countryside. Smawari is located just outside the lovely town of Axminster and being keen cyclists we cycled into town for the farmers market on the Thursday, we also cycled into the nearby village of Musbury where there is an excellent Spa shop and pubic house. We would not recommend walking to either as there is no footpath on the B Road that links the locations. The coastal towns of Seaton and Lyme Regis are only a 15 minute drive from the site. We would recommend the very quiet beach at Axmouth which appears to be the best kept secret for sunny days. All in all an excellent holiday and Rhian and i send our thanks to Martin and Carol, the perfect hosts.
