Great Location and Hosts

Our 2 night stay was very peaceful and relaxing. Andy was very welcoming on arrival and helpful during our stay, he is a wealth of information on the local area and local walks. We enjoyed a walk to the local village of Leighton exploring it's history and church and visited Powis Castle a short drive away. A very well kept site with lovely countryside views and easy access. The breakfast bap on departure day was very welcome. Look forward to staying again soon. Pete and Rose

Gem of a site

We stayed on this CL a couple of nights ago and it certainly lived up to expectations. The site was very well kept will lovely views from most angles. Dawn and Andy were perfect hosts with both a lovely welcome and fond farewell. Our visit was predominantely so we could visit POWIS Castle, which was stunning. Dawn offers a breakfast bap on your departure day for visits of 2 nights or more, which was a lovely added treat. We will definitely return when next in this area. Sue & Peter

As good as it gets

We stayed 2 nights with our dog , on arrival was met by Dawn who could not have been more helpful , we had previously ordered he Cream Tea and after eating it booked again for the following day , she supplied us with all the information we needed re visiting surrounding area , and as an added surprise we was give a breakfast Bap the morning we where leaving. Would highly recommend Severn Lodge Very well kept and we will definitely be back. Thank you Bill , Julie and Nelson

Excellent CL

Fantastically well kept CL. Only stayed for one night but would have been happy to stay longer. The owners had been very busy with family but still found time to welcome us and provide a cream tea for my wife which she tells me was lovely. Some road noise in the daytime but it died down in the evening and wasn’t a problem. Some pitches might need ramps for levelling. Highly recommended..

Above and beyond

Can only echo all the positive reviews, cracking location and site. What really places this one so highly is the exceptional 'customer service' by the owners, Dawn and Andy. From the booking to departure they really go above and beyond. These guys could probably turn any site (CL or commercial) into a top rated site. Many thanks, a very special CL.

Wonderful Site with great hosts.

Stopped at Severn Lodge for 2 nights. We arrived quite late but were welcomed by Dawn & Andy who, due to the wet weather, let us park our camper van on the drive which was great. The site is extremely tidy & clean. Dawn & Andy were great hosts who give us advice on the Welshpool area. It a great location for visiting Powis Castle & the surrounding area. On Sunday morning Andy cooked us a lovely breakfast bap & even went to the effort of getting my partner gluten free sausages! This is a brilliant site with really welcoming hosts, will be returning in the future!

The most welcoming CL

This site is immaculate and set within peaceful and picturesque scenery. We received a very warm welcome and much appreciated the delicious cream tea which we had pre-ordered. Our key intention was to see Powys Castle and we were not disappointed. It would be almost an hour to walk to the castle but only 9 minutes if driving. We opted to drive! We enjoyed our complimentary and generous breakfast bap on the day of departure kept us going on the journey home. Dawn and Andy really do go out of their way to make their guests welcome. Despite the rain we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated their hospitality. A most enjoyable stay. Thank you. Carol and Mike J

Best CL in the UK

Dawn and Andy are the perfect hosts Home made cream teas with home Made Damson jam made by Andy are availabe for £6 . Free fruit availble from a help yourself basket. A bacon roll on the morning you leave what is not to like. A 15 min walk into welshpool and a dog walk off the site . Would definitely return.

Fabulous

We had a wonderful long weekend. Dawn and Andy were very welcoming, even after our rather 'unorthodox' arrival! The site is immaculate with large pitches and beautiful views of Leighton and the surrounding countryside. There are some lovely walks from the site, which our dog enjoyed, we would have liked to have had time to explored more fully. We thoroughly enjoyed the cream tea, and the breakfast bap before we departed was delicious. We were very lucky to have excellent weather, just wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

Perfection

A difficult one to review , because once everyone knows it will be difficult to get in to . We are a large motorhome , access is easy ,pitch size great and views amazing . We pre-booked a cream tea and that was delivered to us warm and with a great smile from Dawn . We were lucky to have the option for paying to join other people on site for a bbq , cooked and supplied by the owners .We all sat down with ours drinks , collected the food and had a great evening . Chatting about sites and places we have been . The Severn lodge deserves a massive shout out , they go above and beyond making your stay enjoyable . The little touches were great . Many thanks .
