Great CL

This is a great CL in a quiet very pleasant area. It is level with hard standings but plenty of grass, flowers, shrubs and trees on the site. There are 2 toilet and shower rooms, always clean, with a chemical disposal point very near too. It is on the (only) main road into the village from Hull, but don't let this put you off visiting as the road is only slightly busy first thing in the morning. We had a great welcome from the hosts and shown all the facilities. There is a heavy police presence in the area due to the nearby gas facility up the road but very welcome in my opinion. Other users on the site at the same time told us they had been regulars for 18 years. We may become regulars too !!!! Thanks.

A real favourite of ours

This was the 2nd site we visited after getting our first caravan and it has set the standard for all to follow: lovely location, super friendly & helpful hosts, good mix of hard standing and grass, plenty of space, spotless facilities. Short walk into the village with three pubs, local shop, and beach. Very close to the awesome Spurn Head which should be on everybody's must visit list. With so much of the world to explore with our caravan and not enough time to see it all we aren't the type to go back, but Sandalwood is the exception to the rule and we've been back again this year.

Very Good CL

This is a very well laid out and well kept CL. We were welcomed by Staff who was very informative and permitted us to pitch to the rear of the CL which was even quieter than the main CL. Access is excellent and the toilet blocks and showers are kept spick and span. The village is only a short walk away. Well worth a visit.

Being newbies to caravanning, this was our first visit to a CL site.We could not have wished for a nicer place. Nice and small and immaculate throughout. The showers had hot water all the time, the toilets were clean and the facilities for waste were simple to use. The village was a 10 minute walk away with a couple of pubs, where the staff in them were very friendly. We met Staff (owner of the site) who was a friendly chap and he made us welcome. Overall it was a very pleasant stay made even better with the nice weather we had and I would recommend this site.

Little Gem

This site is a little gem!! The owners are really friendly and will even deliver your Sunday paper and the facilities are clean. It is perfect for Motorhomers as the site is level and outside there is an hourly bus service to Withensea and Hull. Its also perfect for dog walkers as there is direct access from the site to 3 lovely, FLAT, off road, circular walks where you can let your dog off the lead....even on the beach!! There are 3 or 4 pubs within easy walking distance. The area appears to have its own (warm) micro climate.....everywhere else was covered in snow except this small area of the east coast....we sat on the bench provided and ate our lunch outside in the sun!! (Easter 2013) What more could you want!!

Sandalwood

Over the years we've been frequent vistors to this site spending at least one week a year here and a few long weekends. Not been this year due to circumstances, but looking forward to visiting agin. Our son and grandkids had a week here without us in the summer and they are looking forward to visiting again too. Very peacefull, clean and with no less than two shower blocks and a choice of loos. A short walk to the local beach or a short cycle ride for the kids. Spurn point is a must to visit and you'd not believe the wildlife living there. We've seen wild deer, hares and numerous species of birds. Very clean and empty beaches on Spurn point too. We always find Audrey and her husband very helpfull and accomodating and of course a font of usefull information on the local area. Withernsea is just 20 mins away with a large Tesco and the normal seaside attractions. A very flat and level site with grass and hardstanding pitches. Not much of a phone signal, it comes and goes. TV signal fine.
