CL is located on the far side of the overflow car park to this nursery. Site is immaculately kept, with planters all around the perimeter. Toilet block is a short distance away across the car park, a bit of a trek if it's raining! They were clean and tidy. Wifi reception a bit intermittent, but we were on the pitch furthest away from the mast, so it would probably be better on the other pitches. Owners and nursery staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Didn't try the cafe as we weren't around at lunch time, but it looked good!
We have been back from this site almost 2 weeks, Very quiet as you are on a main road but you would not know it. the site is kept well, very nice owners, friendly. all the pitches are fully serviced.
Long time coming. A really nice and pleasant site easy to find good access, lots to do in the area a good place to eat at the garden centre. Hope to visit in the near future.
What a little gem, easy access, spacious level pitches, hardstanding, open views, and a plant nursery on site to browse around. Access is great and about a 10min drive into Shrewsbury, there may be buses but its certainly not walkable. Pitches are far enough away from the nursery that it doesn't disturb the peace and they back onto a lovely field which was full of bright yellow oil seed rape and open aspect over a field of sheep in front. Toilet facilities are shared with the nursery and a short walk away across the carpark in a brick built building which is left unlocked at night, but a long walk in the rain or dark! Nothing could put us off coming here again though and we have already booked to return.
We stayed here for a week in Mid May, we recieved a nice friendly welcome, the pitches are spacious and level, each with its own water supply, the chemical waste is a bit of a trek, (150yds) but not a great issue unless it's raining hard in which case you can always use the car. Roden is located a short drive from Shrewsbury, and is central to plenty of attractions. There is good access from the road, but beware of sat navs that may take you the shortest route which could well involve a fairly narrow lane, best to consult the paper version. All in all a lovely site, only marked down the beauty of the surrounds slightly due to the nursery which looks to be undergoing some upgrading work.
Would recommend this site to anyone wishing to visit Shrewsbury and the surrounding areas. Access is easy especially for larger twin axle caravans, pitches are very nicely layed out. Water and electric for each pitch and free WiFi access. Nice cafe attached to the nursery.
We spent a week on this site and fully concur with the previous reviews. Convenient for Shrewsbury and also as a base for touring North and mid-Shropshire. There are fields on 3 sides and at a little distance is the nursery of which this site is part and where the chemical disposal point it, which is a bit of a hike from the pitches but with hook-ups and water at every pitch and small shrubs which in due course will form bushes between each pitch this is indeed a lovely site and one to which we would gladly return if in the area.
This is one of the best CLs we have stayed on. The plots are generous, flat, with hard standings and plenty of space on grass for the awning and parking. There is also a water tap on each plot. The site is well maintained and quiet with pleasant surroundings. Although it is part of Roden Nurseries the site is well away from the nurseries so as noise is not an issue. The site is well located for touring Shropshire and only 15 minutes from Shrewsbury.
