A 3 night stay in order to have the caravan serviced at Salop Leisure. All good, a nice CL to use, well spaced out pitches with level hard standings.
We were welcomed warmly by the "young" Mr Oldfield who was easy to find as he was mowing the pitches.
Thank you, we hope to use you again.
A GREAT WEEKEND STAY
An excellent CL with very good facilities at a very reasonable price per night, we very much enjoyed our short stay. The grass area next to the hardstanding was pretty wet, but we had had a great deal of rain in November so it was to be expected. The only minor point I would make is that there are no recycling facilities available.
One Night Stop near Shrewsbury
During atrocious driving rain we decided to break your journey home by stopping for the night at this conveniently placed CL. Whilst being unable to give an overall impression of what the CL would like in favourable conditions we were pleased with our stay. The booking process completed on the morning of travel was well received and we were allocated a pitch that the owner thought would not be under water. The CL does have serviced pitches for those that require it. All 5 pitches are hardstanding in a row delineated by small hedges. It is best to check if the weather is extremely wet as a couple of the pitches were a bit waterlogged but the rain we encountered was rather excessive. We know the area quite well and would say it is well positioned for seeing the sights. There is a large Garden Centre on site and the CL is at the back and off to the left hand side with a caravan and Motorhome storage area off to the right. Access when the garden centre is closed is by coded barrier for which we were given the code, just in case. The only gripe I would have is that the Elsan point is quite a distance from the pitches and made for a very wet walk through many a puddle to reach. It is sited behind a large hedge near the green sign which says Garden Centre on it. The Elsan can be found inside the shed!
The owners son booked us in as the owner is currently away on holiday and he was friendly and efficient.
All in all I decent place to stay and one we will use again.
Perfect CL
We had to visit Shrewsbury at short notice so phoned and booked a couple of hours before arrival.
Given the combination lock number in advance, access was no problem.
Good size pitches, individual amenities, overall very good.
CL owner was friendly and helpful throughout.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shrewsbury.
Beautiful, Brilliant.
We stopped here for 5 nights recently and it's a beautiful place. It's a pity that more owners don't follow the same principals. All pitches have their own electric and water supply and all are good hard standing. We had a good walk around the Nurseries, and there is nice views from each pitch if you wish to stay on site. We couldn't of asked for more, it's a brilliant site at a good location on a good road and placed far enough away from the road and nurseries to be private, Great. We will definitely be returning.
Shrewd move in Shrewsbury
We spent a very wet and windy New Year on this CL. Good hard standing pitches on what is a very open site. Sadly the trees that backed up to the pitches have lopped removing any protection from the wind. Each pitch has its own water supply which is great.
Shrewsbury is around 7 miles away but the park and ride is only around 3 miles drive.
Manoevering without a motor mover on the furthest pitch might be difficult with a large unit as space is tight on the access road to all 5 pitches.
The garden centre was closed for the holidays but I’d imagine later in the year it’s a lovely place to visit and the cafe sounds great but again due to bank holiday it was closed.
If I wanted to revisit the area I’d definitely stay again.
Nice site
This is a neat quiet small site, easy to find, good location to explore, we took our motorhome to the park and ride, easy for us to park and went into shrewsbury for the day, next day did NT s. We stayed when there was gales and torrential rain and our pitch was great, good hard standing that drained well, nice to have water and elex by your pitch would recomend this site.
Love our motorhome

Good central site to visit Shropshire places
I fully agree with all previous reviews. It is easy to get to roads and routes to visit the many NT and EH properties and lovely pretty villages in the county. My only gripe is that the cafe - NOT owned by the site people and run by others - seemed to open and closed when THEY wanted to. We were not the only ones who called in after visiting somewhere and wanted a mid afternoon coffee and cake only to find that they had closed at 2pm. Apparently they did good breakfasts, but we were more interested in getting out and about after our own light breakfast in the caravan. Their loss not ours.
