Fabulous CL

Have just had 5 nights at this wonderful CL. Roger & Michelle are the nicest people you would wish to meet and we loved Barnaby the dog. The site is very well kept and is in a lovely setting besides the river. We can honestly say that in 7 years of caravaning it is by far the best site we have ever stayed in. We will definitely return. Thank you Roger, Michelle & Barnaby for a very enjoyable stay. Julie & Rob Wilson.

Probably the best CL we have ever stayed on!

We recently spent five wonderful days at Riverside Cl. Michelle, Roger and Barnaby were excellent hosts. We obviously had a bumpy drive from Bath and Bristol because on our arrival we found that neither our fridge or toilet were working. A loose 6 volt connection? Michelle kindly stored our food in the studio fridge and gave us full use of the bathroom there or the use of the facilities in the shepherds hut. Nothing was too much trouble. They even lent us an electric cool box for inside our awning. What more can you ask?Meanwhile one of our helpful neighbours had a look and 'hey presto' we were working again. We also really loved the opportunity to sit by the beautiful river from a variety of seating and summerhouse. We will certainly be back next year!

Best CL site

This is the best CL site we have been to. Roger & Michelle were so welcoming (& so was Barnaby, their lovely dog!) Every Lovely setting besides the river. Bus stop just 5 minute walk away with buses to Wells, Bath & Glastonbury. Easy 2 mile walk into Wells. Will definitely stay again.

A delightful CL with pleasant owners.

This is without doubt, one of the nicest CL's that we have stayed at. A beautiful grass site located on the side of the River Sheppey just a short drive from the City of Wells. A quiet, relaxing site with 16amp EHU, large pitches, well maintained gardens, riverside seating with comfortable furniture, dog friendly, easy access from the A39 and to cap it all, lovely pleasant owners. Roger & Michelle and Barnaby the dog made us welcome on our arrival and were friendly and helpful during our stay. The Delightful City of Wells (a few minutes by car) with its Cathedral and Bishops Palace has a variety of shops, cafe's and restaurants. While there we visited Cheddar Gorge, the eclectic town of Glastonbury and the Clarks Shopping Village in Street. Roger & Michelle recommended several eateries and takeaways which were all excellent. We will certainly be returning.

Best CL we have stayed on

Very welcoming owners who have been caravaners and have thought of everything for the comfort and enjoyment of everyone staying there. We had a lovely riverside pitch and immediately relaxed when we arrived. The owners have also provided a comfortable seating area with umbrella to enjoy the river along with a garden room with armchairs to enjoy the last rays of the sun. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sunshine but the garden room would be lovely to retreat to during inclement weather. The cathedral city of Wells is only two miles away and the Bishop’s Palace and Cathedral are well worth a visit. Will certainly return and can’t recommend the site enough.

A lovely welcoming site in lovely countryside and access to Wells, Glastonbury and the Levels

Welcomed immediately on arrival, and straight away we felt relaxed on the advice about the best way to pitch up. The additional patio seating and use of the garden summerhouse ( with additional blankets should they be required) a great feature! A bus stop at the end of the lane and a 2 minute walk along the main road pavement gave us the ability to catch regular buses to Wells and Glastonbury with all their historic sights. The Cathedral and Palace a must visit. The sustrans cycle routes are easily found, taking you across the Levels. Bird reserves and scenery mean you must have binoculars at hand. Walks from the site along lanes and footpaths also easy for short strolls or longer hikes up high. All in all a lovely site and we intend returning!

A very enjoyable spring break on this lovely site

Riverside is situated between Wells and Glastonbury and with the regular bus service from the bus stop 100 yards away was perfectly located. Roger and Michelle were very welcoming and eager to share their C L with us. There are great walks from the site on quiet country roads and along the bank of the stream which runs past the property. Visiting the Bishop's Palace and Wells Cathedral is a must. We would definitely go back there again to see more of the local area.

An absolute Gem.

Probably the best CL we have stayed on in over 20 years of Caravanning. Impressive welcome from Roger, Michelle and Barnaby the dog, The site is immaculate, from the beautifully cut grass to the facilities. The location on the outside of Wells is easy to find from the A39 Wells Glastonbury Road. Lots to see from Wells Cathedral to Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Levels. We will undoubtedly return before too long.

lovely place to stay

We stayed here while our caravan was being repaired, Roger the owner was so helpful when we arrived. the site is very tranquil and relaxing, there is a river running along the site and there is a summerhouse to sit in what ever the weather, we went in March 2024, so a bit cold for that. lovely pubs nearby and lots to see and do. There is a little bit of traffic noise in rush hour times, Roger has minimised it with some lovely hedging but it didnt spoil our stay. Would happily book again
