3 Night Stay

We stayed 3 nights in a campervan. All was good. Facilities fine, if basic, but no different to many CLs. Access pretty straightforward. A little bit of road noise from local traffic, tractors etc. The site is on a slope so make sure you have your ramps, took a bit of fiddling about to get relatively level. Lots of space between pitches so nice and private. Small beach is only 5 or 10 minutes wander down the road, OK for a brief dip if desired. booking had been straightforward, and a change of dates was sorted without issue. Would return if in the area.

Serenity

We stayed for 5 nights in September. Our first caravanning trip! Potentially not much to compare this site to, but it was a lovely spot with excellent scenery and lovely walks nearby. Also a short and easy drive away from Falmouth, Penryn, and Truro. I booked online, which made the process straightforward, and rang ahead on the day as I was arriving late - which was no problem. The site is a 15 minute walk from the creekside Pandora Inn which is well worth a visit - we went for a swim followed by fish and chips at the pub!

Peaceful

We recently stayed here for 10 nights in July. Best to follow written directions, entrance wider than it looks. Water to all pitches on a sloping field, of which the grass is too long. We paid the full amount at least two months in advance. You do not get to see anybody at this site. It is a decent location for getting around and there are two pubs about a mile away, one in the village and one on the water.

Relaxing site.

Grass was longer than expected, the site is located in a farm field which unfortunately is full of tractor tyre ruts, resulting in a twisted ankle. The ruts were probably caused when cutting the grass with a tractor, if only the farmer could have rolled the ruts level after cutting the grass. Nice views into the valley and beyond. Nice birdsong throughout the day. Here for a week end break and managed to visit on foot Mylor and the coast footpath to the Pandora inn for lunch and a drink. With no toilet or shower facilities, I thought that the price was expensive. Rubbish point and Elsan were tucked away in a corner of the field.

A really peaceful relaxing site & perfect location

Being a Cornish lad I thought I’d try out this CL for the first time. Easy to book by email with Rebecca although she did phone me to apologise for being slow in responding to my enquiry, very pleasant lady on the phone, it’d be nice to meet the owners in person next time. Booked & paid for easily & arrived late Friday afternoon, pitched up no trouble & went for a wander through the lanes to The Pandora, lots more walking over the weekend & even caught the ferry from Flushing to Falmouth.. This CL is rural & rustic & in a wonderful location for walking & exploring with the great pubs close by, The Lemon Arms & The Pandora, Mylor Bridge is an easy walk having local independent shops including butchers & fishmongers, all in all a great break away, will definitely be returning.

Cornwall at its best

Set in a small farming hamlet, overlooking the Mylor Creek valley, this CL is on a slightly sloping field which points all pitches towards the view over the valley. Part of the hedge has recently been removed to afford this panorama. The pitches are well spaced around the field, which is large, so you should never feel in any way cramped or the view obscured. Nice to have service water on every pitch. The access road is narrow in places and be sure to follow the CAMC handbook directions as the alternative ( suggested by Google Maps) is steeper and narrower. The last 150 yards is single track to the site gate. We had no problems on our visit. There is a path down in to Mylor Bridge which is approx 20 minute walk although, its a climb coming back, but a pleasant walk. We used a mini bus service from the village to travel to Falmouth which drops in the very centre of the town. There are good walks around the peninsula and a small stony beach suitable for swimming, boats etc. There is a working farm next door with the occasional associated background noise, which was never obtrusive and wildlife to watch at all times around the field. The field is large, approx. 1 acre so the grass is mowed by a tractor ( I assume) and is a bit longer than your average grass pitches, but it would be impossible to cut with a standard lawn mower due to the size. This only added to the rural feel of the site. I marked down to 4 stars for the ease of arrival / welcome as we never met the owners ( not necessary) but had to pay for 8 nights up front when booked 8 months before holiday. We stayed on 4 CL's during this holiday and this was the only site that asked for this. I can understand the reasoning, but I wonder what would happen if one or other party had to cancel during this period. Overall, a really nice spot in a good location for southern Cornwall.

A week of bliss

Booking was so easy.. Rebecca made it very easy and fabulous communication about any questions. The site is very large and social distancing was extremely easy, we have had a wonderful view of the creek over the hedgerows from our pitch. Such a pleasure to have both electric hookup and water on your pitch for a cl. Absolutely peace & quiet.. a little noise of country life now and again, but nothing to disturb you for long. Fantastic easy walks down to the weir where you can launch your kayak, sup etc. Easy walk down to the village, follow the footpath through two fields and a path straight to the village where you’ll find a superb well stocked village store, fishmonger, and butcher! The Lemon Arms pub is just lovely, fab food and wonderful staff. Have we had a good time?…. Hmmmmmmmm well let’s just say we’ve rebooked for next year! Thank you Rebecca to you and your family, See you in 2022 Ali, Steve and Brie Dyer

Peaceful

We have just got home after two weeks at this site- we have stayed before and keep returning as its so peaceful. There are some amazing walks front the site and its central enough to access most parts of Cornwall so an ideal base. The field is absolutely huge so plenty of space between pitches. All pitches have an individual water supply which is a real bonus. When we go away we like peace / quiet and lots of space. This site ticks all the boxes!!! Thanks again for another wonderful stay. Mixed feelings.

The booking of this CL was easy, like most. Very responsive to emails and helpful with any questions. Unfortunately, due to covid we never got to meet the owners. The pitches are spacious and all equipped with EHU and your own eater feed which was a bonus. You did have a slight view at the bottom of the slopping field overlooking Myler. Its a very quiet tranquil site with lots of wildlife around. No light pollution and watching the stars at night while listening to the owls was lovely. TV reception was OK, we got full 4g signal The pitches were uneaven and the grass was at least 6"+ in length which is the only negative.

Lovely peaceful site

This site is a little gem, it is very peaceful and well situated to the Fal estuary where, if you have a kayak or SuP this is an excellent location. We have just stayed here in our motorhome and it took us 20 min to wheel the kajak and take the SuP down to the river where we paddled to NT Trellisick (there is a small shingle beach there) had a picnic and paddled back, it took a little longer to get back up the hill but still worth the effort. There is places to park down the hill but not for a motorhome! We also went for a walk along the river and stopped at the Pandora Inn and sat out on the moorings (socially distanced tables/chairs) great couple of days will definitely going back.

Happy together
