Excellent CL site

We have just returned home after a 6 night at this site, it was excellent. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, it is a peaceful location, with well spaced out pitches. Walking from the site is very easy using the information and maps supplied by the owners and there are some fabulous walks in the area. There is a great pub, The Star just up the road, we had an excellent Sunday lunch there, there is also a small shop attached to the pub which was useful as we were happy not to have to drive anywhere. All in all a great little CL, looking forward to returning and exploring some more of the area.

What a wonderful site

Such a wonderful peaceful site, friendly welcome from site owner and nothing was too much trouble. Ideal for exploring the area and a fabulous pub up the road. We will be back xxx

Superb CL and a friendly welcome!

Brilliant family weekend at Rails End. We stayed in our caravan with our two children and my parents had a pitch for their motor home. We were offered a semi private area on the site which allowed us to enjoy our stay even more! Lots of wildlife around the site and we even got to watch some deer playing in the site on one of the evenings! Would highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit!

Adverse Weather.

It was early March when many parts of the U.K. were flooded and many sites couldn't open or were just too muddy to use. We'd booked onto this CL knowing that the main site was too wet to use . However, Andrew Locke made special provision for us by allowing us to site our outfit on a hardstanding near the gates. He had also run an extra long hook up cable for us to use.. We will return to this CL without a doubt. Excellent.

A WARM WELCOME

I agree fully with the previous reviews for this excellent CL. We stayed here over a long weekend in January 2020, it's in a good location close to Evesham and Cheltenham. The owner gave us a great welcome and also a sheet with local information. I have no hesitation in recommending this site to other members.

Welcome Back

Our second visit to Rails End to enjoy a lovely area for walking & cycling with the bonus of a good pub just 5 mins walk from the site. The owners, Jackie & Andrew made us very welcome & maintain a well functioning CL & always very helpful if needed. We especially appreciated being able to use common sense when pitching without the need for lots of "petty rules"! A lovely natural site that is not over manicured. Perfect!

A warm welcome

At the risk of more members discovering this terrific site preventing us revisiting I can only say that this is possibly the best And most welcoming site we have stayed on. Easy to get too from the motorway and yet hidden in the countryside, Rails End is well laid out spacious. All facilities are almost adjacent to each pitch and we’ll maintained. The owners Jackie and Andrew make you feel so welcome and are a ‘library’ of useful information.

A good stopover or base for relaxing, sightseeing, walking and cycling.

We've just spent a very pleasant three days at Rails End CL in the pretty village of Ashton Under Hill, between Tewkesbury and Evesham just off the A46. The M5/M50 junction is a few miles away so it makes a good stopover or meeting point. The stone-built Star Inn is a short walk away on the lower slope of Bredon Hill and a bus stop for Tewkesbury and Evesham is next to it. The hill is covered in nice walks and the impressive hillfort of Kemerton Camp is at its far end, with views over Wales, the Malverns and the Cotswolds. You can cycle right round it too. The site has two pitches that are suitable for use by motorhomes in wet weather as they have plastic grid matting installed. Otherwise it's grass but is very well maintained. There's no WC or shower but the chemical disposal and water points are very easy to get at. The owners are friendly and lent us an OS map and a book on local walks. We've got loads left you do around there so we'll be back. Recommended!

Another visit to this lovely CL

Second visit to this super CL. Came especially for open gardens weekend which Jackie had told us about last summer and the gardens were great. Would highly recommend this site as it has lovely large pitches, very helpful and friendly owners and is set in a great village. The local pub is a real bonus. Lovely food at a reasonable price. We will be back again.
