Lovely little site

On the night of arrival had a call from Alison to say she was worried we may not get on to the site as there had been torrential rain prior to our arrival and the middle of the small field was very wet so we arranged we would just stay on the hardstanding surrounding the farm buildings as it couldn't be helped. However, when we got close we had pulled over to check where it was and five minutes after we arrived Paul (who had just by chance passed us on the road) arrived and managed to get us on to the site. It was very kind of him to go to this trouble as the weather could not be helped. The site was lovely, surrounded by a large hedge so very private. The shower and toilet facilities (in a room in the house but separate from the family living) were absolutely excellent and spotlessly clean with great care having been taken to make sure you could have everything you could need. The history of the farmhouse and how this family have safeguarded it for in the future is to be admired. It's great to support such a lovely place and they deserve much success with this lovely site.

Excellent

A very well kept site in a brilliant location with so many great walks and a pub on the doorstep. Paul (And Alison) were amazing hosts. He was around every day to check we were ok and gave lots of recommendations on places to walk and visit. Always happy to chat and ask where we’d been that day. Even offered to pick us up if we got lost!! The facilities were clean and tidy and cleaned regularly (Covid) although we didn’t actually use them. The farm house is undergoing crucial structural work and renovation . Apart from the scaffolding it was surprisingly quiet! We lioved our stay and will be going back as there was so much we didn’t get to do and visit. We look forward to seeing this charming farmhouse restored back to life. Definitely one of our favourites.

Great Location for Accessing Norfolk

This was a great site to come to -- our first Certified Location. Paul was a great host - always about at some point in the day and happy to help you or to leave you alone as you wish. The site was in very good order and the presence of a shower and toilet was just as expected and very clean and tidy. The whole site was very well maintained. Thank you Paul.

Fantastic site in the heart of Norfolk

Stayed at Pound Farm over the weekend bank holiday. This is a lovely site just off the Norwich - Cromer road with easy access to local attractions and The Fox pub a short walk away. Toilet and shower facilities are very clean. Electric hookup is included in the overnight cost. Very friendly owners and I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommended.

Great site, peace and quiet. Very friendly.

We just wanted a weekend away and we are so pleased that we found Pound Farm. Paul was there to meet us, we were the only caravan on site but he phoned to check our arrival time to make sure that he met us. He is a really nice chap with time to have a chat and get to know you. All facilities as previously stated but we also found a plentiful supply of magazines, novels and also DVDs to borrow in the facilities. Nice shower for 50p in the honesty box. What good value this site is, great location, great field and as Paul stressed to me, only £15 a night all tear round with no extras ever charged. Although we only live within a 30 minute drive, I feel that we will be visiting again for a quiet weekend and will certainly recommend to visiting friends. Thank you Paul for your kind hospitality.

Fab CL - just what we were looking for

We visited here at the beginning of August 2019 and were so pleased with our 3 night stay, weve just booked a return visit. The site is kept beautifully and the grass is kept manicured and short and seemed to be mowed the minute people left! Mr Oliver is really friendly and welcoming and comes over to say hello and make sure everything is OK with your stay. The waste facilities are all well thought out and there are two toilets and one shower. We saw a cleaner on two of the three days and like others have written, the shower & loo might be an older style, but it is beautifully clean and better than weve had on most other CLs. Close enough to the main road to make access easy but far enough away not to be bothered by it and an excellent base for touring Norfolk and we loved the fact that there are dogs walks around the farm without the need to even cross a road!

Good Spot to Explore Coast and Country

Stayed here for 8 nights in February. Peaceful - no light pollution - enjoyed the night sky. Fully agree with other reviewers regarding facilities - but must add - the shower room was fully heated - it was really lovely and warm - so excellent for winter touring. The pitches are large - lots of space - nicely grassed/lawned area enclosed by a hedge. I had a small dog with me - Paul permitted me to walk on the field boundaries / tracks - and at the top of the field was a lane. I found a 40 minute circular stroll which was perfect for an early morning walk. Stunning sunrises. There was also an uncultivated area of rough grass where we could have played ball if desired. You can also walk along the village lane - local dog walkers had torches after dark - as no street lighting. I found this location great for exploring the coast and inland. There's a Tesco's at Aylsham about 5 miles away - good local pubs/nice food. I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Best CL I have ever visited

Pound Farm is by far the best CL I have ever visited and I have been to many throughout the country. I came to Pound Farm for the first time four years ago and became a frequent visitor for a couple of years. I returned last month after nearly a year and was pleasantly surprised to see that nothing had changed.....everything from the friendly welcome to the spotless facilities were just as I remembered. The first thing you will notice is that for a working farm everything is extremely neat and tidy and this extends into the CL itself. The pitches are very generous in size, flat and the grass is kept in an immaculate condition. Water tap, rubbish disposal and cassette emptying point are all within easy reach. There are two toilets a kitchen area and a large shower room which are all kept spotlessly clean. Pound Farm with its central Norfolk location is ideally located, with the beautiful city of Norwich within easy reach either by car or public transport. You are also just a short drive from the Norfolk Broads or the beautiful Norfolk coast. Whether it is peace and quiet or something a little more lively there is something for everyone staying in this delightful part of Norfolk. But, by far the best thing about Pound Farm is the wonderful warm welcome you will receive from Paul. He personally greets you and shows you around and there really is nothing that is too much trouble for him. He is always on hand if you need any help, directions to places of interest or if you just want a chat. If you are a first time or frequent visitor to Norfolk.....I can highly recommend this site. To conclude....there is everything here that you would expect from a "Club Site" at a fraction of the price.

Great Cl

We have just spent 12 nights at this Cl .In 40 years of caravanning we have not found a better or more friendly site .The 2 toilets and modern shower are excellent and are spotlessly clean .Paul is very friendly and helpful and is always willing to spend time giving information or just chatting .Nothing is too much trouble to him .We had no problems getting a good TV reception with our root top aerial .The site is only a 10 minute walk to a bus stop where there is an excellent bos service to Norwich and Cromer and Sheringham .It is only a short drive to the Broads and to several National Trust properties .We hope to return in the not too distant future.
