The is the CL everyone needs to aspire to

What can I say. This is the most amazing CL we have visited in all our years of caravanning. I can't actually think of anything else it needs. If your preference is for a roughly cut field with a water tap and disposal point, then this isn't the site for you. The pitches are nice gravel and immaculate with water, waste and EHU. There is a BATHROOM - a real bathroom! With shower, basin, loo, toiletries, radio - shall I go on? Lovely. And a separate loo, and a wishy washy laundrette/information room/little shop/home made food in freezer. All on an honesty box. And there's a dog walk AND a dog washing point. Not just a washing point - a luxury washing point complete with dryer. Honestly, this place is absolutely amazing. Our friends joined us and we barely left the site - the peace and quiet is wonderful and there is a distant trickle from the stream. There is a lovely (sloping) dog walk (there are some bee hives, albeit fenced off. As a former beekeeper, I can tell you they are very placid bees and won't bother you). We walked a few metres down the road to the Tamar where we saw the kingfisher and our dogs had a paddle. It's a bit muddy. And we wandered around the lanes and chatted to some lovely locals and we just ate and drank and had the most brilliant time. AND - Louise will cook for you. We were excited to have our Sunday dinner ordered for our day of arrival. A word of advice - watch what you eat that day because the portions are absolutely huge! And very delicious. Greg and Louise and Harvey (their son) are around and chat and you just feel like very special guests. One hot day, young Harvey trotted round with ice creams for us. It was Jubilee weekend - and we blooming missed the evening BBQ as we had to go home. Drat because it would have been great. But we did have our photo taken with Her Maj (ha ha ha!) on the bench and we had a lovely bottle of fizzy to take home. Truly what is not to like. The only thing to say is just do exactly what you are told re arrival and departure time. The lane is narrow. Trust me, you do not want to come face to face with another caravan (which you won't if everyone does as they are told!) But we managed perfectly well. Thank you so much Greg and Louise. What a fabulous stay.
