We stayed here on September 2nd and 3rd 2023 because we wanted to re-visit Looe and it's just what we required from a camp site.We were not welcomed but did not need to be as we simply found our name on the board and went to our pitch No 5. Needed chocks but no problem. Great shower/toilets.Drove into Looe and to Seaton Beach and had no problem parking our large campervan. Nice walk around the sweetcorn field on site and the bench at the top of the hill is a great place to recover and get your breath back and with a lovely view. Will definitely use again if we are this way.
Pitch 6,
I emailed ahead to check best access route but they didn’t reply. Access was tight down a narrow lane but not as bad as some. When we arrived our name was not on the arrivals board. Found a nice young lad working on a building site who was helpful but said he wasn’t expecting any arrivals. He rang the owner who was away and she directed him to a blue folder to find us. Apparently she hadn’t updated the arrivals board. We were placed on hard standing with a delightful view of the bin area. Not what we expected. This is clearly not a 5van CL site. There are 5 + 1 grass pitches which we were not allocated to and there are 6 hard standing areas to which we were. The fringe benefit of this muddle was we did have water on the pitch. We stayed 4 nights and never met the owners. It is a functional site but not a CL site in the true sense so if that is what you want stay away.

A gem of a site
We enjoyed 3 days at this small, quiet, level site with clean and well-maintained facilities. Ideal for exploring the area.
Nice CL but..
Stayed here for 13 nights this summer. On the whole it's a very nice and friendly site. It's not far from beaches and easy to get to Liskeard to stock up at the supermarket. The only issue we had was the same as we're finding at more and more CLs; why do you have to put 6 vans on a 5 van CL? There's not enough room for 6 and you invalidate your insurance.
The Mighty Oaks
Just spent 7 nights at The Oaks Holiday Park. The site is Excellent, set in such Beautiful Surroundings. The pitches are large with water EHU & waste on each pitch. The toilets and showers are kept to a High Standard. I highly recommend this site. Public Transport is easy enough to access and very regular. The owners are so Nice and Friendly. Thank You for a Wonderful Stay and We will return many many times to this Beautiful Site
PS The Dogs Loved it Too
The best CL we’ve ever stayed at!
We had to postpone our visit from end of March to 19 May due to a hospital admission but this was no problem for the owners and we’re so glad we made it here at last. This is set in the most beautiful Cornish countryside with huge grassy pitches giving us lots of room to sit out to follow the sun (yes we did have some!) the showers/toilets are immaculate and very clean. I was loathe to leave a positive review as really don’t want to share this place with anyone else but seeing the last review felt this was way more deserved. We didn’t get to meet the owners but the board told us where to pitch up and we are not the needy type who expect to be met on arrival and shown around the facilities. We were very happy to be left to our own devices. Narrow lane leading to site but this is Cornwall, what would you expect? Can’t wait to return!

Do not stay here
We arrived to find our name on the board and pitch number. Upon going to the pitch we were met by a very precocious young girl who said we could not go down there as the shop was shut . I said we didn't want the shop, but she said once more you still can't go down there. After ignoring this advice we went to our alloted pitch which was on a hard standing, and very close to the adjacent pitch. There are 6 pitches on the hard standing part which when full we found very claustrophobic.
The toilets and shower are down a short hill which as my wife is disabled was difficult to get up and down to. There is also no privacy curtains on the windows which was quite disconcerting. Due to its awkward access and not a particularly pleasant visit we would not stay here again.
An absolute Gem
We had the pleasure of staying at the Oaks for quite a while and can not recommend it enough. The site is very well kept with excellent amenities the showers and toilets of a high standard and they are kept immaculate. The showers are very powerful with plenty of hot water. The views from the site are amazing and you can walk down to a small lake. There is a small shop at the reception that has lots of nice essentials and also some naughty treats too (local ice cream) which is nice.
The laundry service provided is excellent. From the moment we booked speaking to Louise who was so friendly and then the warm welcome we got from Olive, they all make you feel so welcome and are always on hand to help with advice. We can not leave out Andrew who is constantly working so hard around the site with a friendly smile and a wave If you are thinking of visiting Looe this is a must stay.
A lovely site and well worth a stay.
We booked well ahead for a 4 night stay the week after the April16th Lockdown easing. A lovely site perched on the top of a hill overlooking a wooded valley. As well as the CL there is also a small holiday complex. 5 static vans, 3 pods, a couple of 'Glamping' tents and another 5 tourers on self contained hard standing pitches. The CL grass pitches are slightly sloping but generous in size and all with EHU's in easy reach. The chemical disposal point and waste water are adjacent the toilet and shower block and all seem fairly new. C
an't comment on the toilet facilities as they were locked due to Covid restrictions. However if they are anything like the rest of the site they should be very well maintained. Good dog walking with access to the perimeter of a a large field on one side and a walk down the wooded valley to some ponds below the site. Free WiFi. Pleasant reception with some basic groceries, ice cream etc. Handy for visiting Looe, Fowey, Eden Project etc. One word of caution though - the lanes leading to the site are very narrow and have to be negotiated with respect and caution! We will be visiting again - just hope the cold east wind has gone though next time!
absolute gem of a site
Stayed here for thirteen nights from the 4th august. Well kept and well run by Olive and Andrew, Showers and toilets spotless and well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble and made to feel very welcome. Local ice cream is available from reception and on a Saturday you can order fresh bread, scones, pasties and sausage rolls from the local bakery which i can highly recommend
