A wet weekend

Site booked via phone with no issues. Currently £15 a night. Last section of roads (off the A361) are tight in places but fine to traverse with care. (Follow the directions given for the site). Site entrance was wide and ok to pull in and out of. Two hard standing and the other three pitches are grass. On a very wet weekend in March the grass (unsurprisingly) was sodden and even the hard standing was very wet. Turning onto the pitches was tricky due to the wet grass surrounding the hard standings but just about doable with a 4x4. Would also probably be okay with a motor mover. The outlook across the lake was really nice with distant views beyond. There was more traffic than we'd expected on the road directly behind the pitches but this in no way detracted from the peace and quiet of the site. Mrs Payne is lovely owner. Good TV signal and 4g with O2 and EE. Definitely a site added to our revisit list.
