A great location from which to explore Totnes and surrounds. Excellent pitch size and great to have hook up and water, plus the use of a lovely clean toilet. The owners have planted loads of trees which will enhance the site overall and give each pitch a sense of privacy. Jane was very welcoming and friendly.
Simply the best
This, in our opinion, is the standard bearer for all CL sites.
The pitches are enormous and beautifully maintained. Each pitch has its own water supply and waste disposal, including recycling. The walk to the local pubs, the Pig & Whistle and the Tally Ho, take you on a peaceful trail around the owners woodland.
It is the perfect location to explore the wonders of Devon: Dartmouth, Salcombe, Brixham, Torquay, Paignton and Totnes, all within easy reach.
The owners, Jane and Steve are very friendly and welcoming.
Yes, there is a little road noise during the day but you soon stop noticing it. Access isn’t an issue as long as you take care when departing.
Well done Jane and Steve, we’ll be back very soon.

Great CL with huge pitches!
Pine Ridge Woodland is in a great location for exploring Totnes and the wider area; the only slight downside of this is that it’s a little scary pulling out onto the main road, and you can hear traffic from the site although that honestly didn’t bother us. We were right down on the end on Pitch 5, which we loved as it felt like having a whole field all to ourselves! All the pitches are huge though. We loved hearing owls at night and we enjoyed various walks from the site using the OS app on our phone. Jane was a lovely friendly host who made us feel really welcome. Great to have our own tap and bin on our pitch, and there is a toilet if required although we didn’t use it. The site is good value and we’d recommend it.
First time in a CL Site
This was our first time at a CL site, During the Covid Pandemic we had been using our own facilities, so decided to try a CL site and save some money. What a revelation! Quiet, peaceful with all the facilities we require, Large plots well spaced out with your own electric hook up, water tap and waste bin. Shared grey waste and chemical disposal at top of field. And if you need a toilet there is one on site for guests. Jane was a delight, pleasant and helpful from our initial contact to our departure. The site is close to Totnes with a Great Pub which you can access via a 10 mins walk around the wood on site, took longer due to watching the birds of prey along the way, and gazing up at the amazing night sky. One reservation we had before booking was access to some CL sites looked tricky. But this one was trouble free. From Tones turn turn left off A381 directly after the Pig and Whistle, good drive way onto site with loads of room. We will definitely be back to this site thank you Jane we really enjoyed our stay.
Great Experience
I booked this site a long way in advance. Which gave me a great advantage, because I think I would have missed out on the hospitality shown. Big plots loads of room. Walking the dog easily from the site round robin. To great pubs closely located, with lovely food. 4G available. Park and ride into Dartmouth was a dream. Interesting Totnes. The stay was all positive. Thanks Jane and Steve, you run a great site.
Excellent CL
Booking was very straightforward with a prompt email response from the owner. Easy access from the main road down a long tarmac drive and into the site itself with a very friendly welcome from the owner. Five huge pitches meaning you can point your caravan/motorhome in whichever direction takes your fancy. Ground did slope in places so it might be helpful to have some levelling blocks. The weather wasn't particularly great whilst we were there but the ground seemed to drain OK. Water and electric on each pitch which are all sheltered by a tall hedge. Spotlessly clean toilet available. A permissive path around the owner's woodland gives access to The Pig and Whistle PH. It also allows you walk out from the site along other rights of way - I would not recommend walking along the A road - traffic travels too fast. With an OS map, it is possible to walk into Totnes. Golf course up the road towards Newton Abbott and all shops/amenities at Totnes. Care required when leaving the site - especially if turning right - visibility is not great and as previously mentioned, traffic travels fast. Great site and we will definitely return. Highly recommended at £18 night.
Lovely welcome
We arrived late evening after a long journey, but during our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Jane. It's a lovely tranquil site, and the individual water supply to each pitch was very much appreciated allowing us to have a constant supply to our caravan (via long hose and aquaroll float); what a gem!

More than enough room to swing a cat!
Pitches are at least 25m apart, adjacent woodland, easy access to footpaths and two pubs and, a great welcome from Jane.
Stayed for 11 nights and found something different to do everyday, either walking to or a short drive.
Totnes is a fairly hilly 2.5 mile walk but the scenery on the walk is worth the challenge, wear good shoes!!!
If only all sites had this much space

Excellent and friendly site
Great site with very large pitches each serviced with electric, individual tap and waste bin. Beautiful views of countryside. A little road noise but it didn’t bother us. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Double swing for children recently put up just before we arrived that kids young and old enjoyed. Good tv and 4g mobile reception.
Good holiday destination..
