Relaxing location

Super site, all new with hard standing flat pitches each with fresh and waste water facilities. The onsite toilet is a great asset too. Few bits and bobs to finish off like signage for the recycling and a better (dryer) location for the bins would be useful as it was very muddy after the dreadful weather. These are minor issues and certainly nothing to detract from this site. It is after all very new and a work in progress. We had very poor phone and 4G connectivity on our BT mobiles but Eccleshall was no better. We used Star Taxis a couple of times because of the biblical rain, £5 a trip. We walked once into Eccleshall via the main road but after that always via Elford Heath, much quieter and safer. Just coming to the end of a week here, shame the weather has been awful but what the heck. Make sure you follow the directions or you'll be struggling with single track roads. Very helpful owner John, good local information sharing, walking pubs cycling etc. All potential new CL owners can learn so much from this site, particularly the flat pitches which in our view should be essential.

Lovely stay

A lovely 3 night stay here. It’s close to M6 Junction 14&15 so a great for either a stopover or a longer stay. We loved the free range chickens, (complimentary fresh eggs), walks down the lanes and views across the countryside to the farm and the cows. Clean toilet and wash area and each spacious pitch has its own tap and EHU. A really nice new addition to CAMH Certified Locations

Fabulous Scenic Site

We had a fabulous weekend at this lovely peaceful and picturesque countryside CL. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The pitches are flat, all with beautiful views, there is small toilet facility which was clean and tidy. Beautiful local walks along the lanes or across a field to the local pub or mere. Complimentary fresh free range eggs were delicious! You couldn't ask for more if peaceful tranquility is what you are looking for and for those who want the convenience and bustle of a small local town, Eccleshall is just a couple of miles down the road with boutique shops, friendly pubs and great eateries, some even deliver to the site. It really is a little gem to suit everyone's tastes!

Excellent site

What a little gem this cl is with a very friendly owner and in a lovely location, it has good size fully serviced pitches and a spotless toilet block with excellent waste facilities, lovely views over the meadow with trees and an occasional tractor passing by. The Star inn is a mile away with a nice walk across the meadow if you don’t want to drive. Amazing sunsets and cows in the fields and chickens roaming the lane all added to our lovely weekend. If approaching the site from Eccleshall don’t listen to the sat nav wait for the CL signs slightly further on. Thanks again John for the eggs...
