Very windy night!
Booked in for a peaceful New Years mini break. Site was fabulous on the cliff tops with amazing ocean views. How we scoffed and laughed when the owner said the other bookings had cancelled because of the weather forecast. Later that evening as we were battered on the clifftop by 70mph winds we were not laughing!! Clinging together waiting for daylight to try and attempt an escape!! The BBC forecast promised a window of rainless opportunity at 9am and we attempted to get out. The combination of rain and battering winds had ground us into the mud. No chance of our van getting off site. Luckily the very kind owner came down with his massive tractor and towed us off - two days earlier than planned. Moved to an inland site!! Will definitely return in the summer. Fantastic location next to a small Church yard, and miles and miles of ocean. Beautiful.
