A brilliant find!

Booked for five nights. Stayed for ten! This says it all, really. Charming and helpful owners, great views and minutes away from the coastal path. Tony and Sandra have worked hard to provide an exceptional CL which we have thoroughly enjoyed. Attention to detail is in evidence with flower tub plantings, close cut grass, and excellent toilets and shower facilities. Clever innovation here with occupancy lights over each cubicle linked to the internal lights. This means you can see from a distance when any of the cubicle is engaged! Very clever! A wonderful and relaxing CL for those wanting peace and tranquility. Thank you, Tony and Sandra for everything. We will be back! John and Jan

Already booked to come back!

Stayed here for 4 nights with the family over Easter, our first proper trip out with our new to us caravan. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and the directions to to site were very helpful. The surroundings are beautiful and there is a lovely beach 15 minutes walk from the site on the coastal path, and Whistling Sands Beach is less than 10 minutes away by car. There is the bonus of 2 toilets and a big shower at no extra cost, and free range eggs for sale. We would thoroughly recommend and will be returning later this year

PERFECT!!!!!!

We have just returned from a 13 night stay at Pen Yr Orsedd. We have been visiting this area for a number of years, staying at a CL site. Our usual site closed after we had booked, so we found ourselves searching for a new one and we were highly satisfied with our 'new' site. On arrival, we were greeted by Tony, who we felt comfortable with straight away. A very friendly, helpful host, who went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. The site is situated at the back of Mandy and Tony's house, hidden from the road. There are three gates to go through to get to the camping field. The field is totally fenced and we were very fortunate to have the field to ourselves, so we could let our dog roam free, knowing that she couldn't escape. The toilets and shower were spotlessly clean with a cold water tap in each of the toilets. The shower cubicle was spacious and there was ample space to get dried and dressed. We even had the luxury of an electric light. There was a mobile home on site, which is also fenced and separate to the caravan field, again in well maintained, cared for surroundings. The fence was decorated in bunting, which Mandy makes herself, a very pretty sight. There are donkey's, horses, sheep, chicken's and dog's, totally separate to the site and lovely to look at. The view from the site is amazing, rolling hills and mountains in the distance. We walked miles on the coastal path and only used our car on the days we needed supplies. We bought a family roamer ticket one day and took the train to Aberystwyth - a long journey but lovely scenery along the way. Our middle weekend was 'stormy' strong winds and heavy rain. We batted down the hatches and prayed that the awning would stand up to the Welsh weather. We were very touched by Mandy and Tony's offer to sleep in their mobile home, they had seen the forecast and kindly offered us their beds. We declined, the kids slept all night in the awning, we lay awake thinking we were on a boat! A fantastic site for a get away from it all holiday, friendly hosts who have a genuine love for people..... and dogs! We were so impressed with everything about this site that we were glad our previous site decided to close. We hope to make Pen Yr Orsedd our regular site, and at £13 a night it is fabulous!!! Thank you Mandy and Tony for sharing your wonderful world with us! See you next year!!!!!

Seeking peace? Look no further

This is a lovely peaceful site on Tony and Sandra's small-holding. The camping field has 2 self-contained loos and, separately, a very good shower. There are 2 double electric hook-up points. The site is accessed down quite a long single track road (good surface). Once there, you can access the Welsh coastal path and the Regional Cycle Route 43 within a short distance, and also enjoy the lovely cliff top sunset views. Tony and Sandra are very welcoming, and when we were there, we could have bought eggs, beetroot and cucumber. At £13 a night, it is extremely good value.

A Diamond of a CL

We have just spent 4 nights at this gem of a CL site that has just opened. The owners Tony and Mandy are extremely friendly, welcoming and hospitable. The site is in glorious unadulterated Welsh countryside, with views of the rolling hills one way and if you stand on the lawn, the sea spreads out in front of you. The site is very well kept, with two toilets and a shower that had lots of hot water. As well as the view to contemplate Tony and Mandy have four beautiful donkeys, horses and chickens that supply delicious fresh eggs. There are lots of walks in the area, and the site is close to the coastal path and the 'Pilgrims Trail'. We spent two days on the National Trust beach 'Whistling Sands' and the fish and chips in Aberdaron are delicious. Tony and Mandy have a static on the site and we had the good fortune to spend our time there with two lovely young girls and their children who played with our grandson. If you want peace, quiet, and a friendly welcome, look no further than Pen Yr Orsedd!! Thanks Tony and Mandy we had a fantastic break.
