Well Kept Secret...

Stayed 4 nights in May 2021. Only camper on the site. Tony and Sandra are very welcoming, and even gave us eggs ! Nearest neighbours (apart from Tony and Sandra) were 3 donkeys, 2 horses, and lots of hens. Very quiet and peaceful, and within easy walking distance of the Coast Path. Facilities basic, but adequate, and very well maintained. This site is all a CL should be !

Wonderful relaxing hideaway

What a beautiful little CL! Tony and Sandra are lovely people, so welcoming and always on hand for help and advice. The small toilet block is spotless with a large shower. We loved just watching the animals (2 ponies, 4 donkeys, pigmy goats and the chickens!). Sandra gave us free range eggs which were so delicious. Tony was really knowledgable on the local area. The CL is tucked away in a beautiful part of the peninsula right near the coastal path, down quiet country lanes ideal for walking and cycling and near so many beaches. Ideal for a relaxing holiday away from it all. We'll be back as soon as we can.

Super Site and Welcoming Owners! Highly Recommended

This site is an absolute gem. We turned up on spec and were warmly welcomed. The site owners Sandra and Tony have put a lot of effort into creating a safe and secure site, with gated access away from the road, although this is very rural and quiet. The pitches are well spaced and the field is well mown and flat. Although we don't need it, EHU is available We are self contained, though could see it was easy access to a small tidy toilet block and shower as and when facilities re open fully. Sandra very kindly gave us a discount as we did not need EHU (Though I appreciate that this was out of season and certainly not expected) and then brought us some of her lovely fresh eggs! They were lovely so make sure you treat yourself to some! We loved watching the chickens running around enjoyed watching the donkeys and pony when they were turned out into the field in the morning! Tony gave us some good advice about the best way to approach the tip of the peninsula, which we appreciated. There are nearby beautiful walks and you are never far from the beach. We will definitely return to Pen Yr Orsedd, next time we are in the area. We left with a smile and some more of the super free range eggs! Perfect!!

Great site - welcoming and quiet

We spent a week here in September 2020. Superb location away from the crowds, and a great welcome from Tony and Sandra. We found it well placed for exploring the peninsular, never having to drive too far to access good walking and other local attractions. Despite the rain the field was fine with the grass nicely mowed. Tony stood by with the tractor, just in case, as we left, which we greatly appreciated. We are firm CL fans and this is one of the best we have stayed on.

Gem of a CL - Best welcome - Great Owners - We'll be back

Let me start with the site's owners we had the most warmest welcome and were well looked after by Tony and Sandra. Tony and Sandra are both caravaners so they know exactly what the likes of me look for in a CL holiday . They were fab! The site is secure and secluded and very well looked after. I had no issues with access - my van is a lengthy twin axle. We currently live in strange times with COVID. Tony and Sandra had taken every practical set to ensure visitors safety. I had never visited the Llyn Peninsula before but what a superb area the beauty and the beaches of Cornwall but with piece and quiet, no traffic jams, rammed villages and town. Its a lovely part of the world. We visited the site with my eldest son's family and his in-laws. We all agreed that we will be back!

Great site and great owners

Stayed in August and had a great time. Gorgeous CL and site is very tidy and well presented. Very safe and secure for children and plenty of space between pitches and surrounding areas. The children also loved watching the donkeys and chickens next to the Caravans. Tony and Sandra are great, very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Location is great for exploring and is close by to several nice beaches. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Third visit with more to come....

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this site, and will definitely be back! The toilet and shower were out of action due to Covid regs, but Toni lent us an extra water barrel to help the water flow with a large family! Really easy to get to Whistling Sands, Aberdaron and Hells Mouth, cycle routes and coastal path too. Fresh eggs available and entertainment provided by the donkeys! This friendly site is a firm favourite with us and our family, and will be back soon!!

A little humdinger of a wow site!

We have just returned from this little gem of a site after having spent just 3 nights there in what were utterly fantastic cloudless weather, with virtually no wind. The greeting we received from Mandy on our arrival was such a glowing one, most especially as she also gave us a box full of delicious eggs that had been laid by her free roaming chickens. We travelled here in our LWB Renault Master panel van conversion and found the surrounding roads to be wide enough to drive along, however I wouldn’t have been happy doing so in anything wider such as a coach built motorhome or indeed towing one of the latest 8’ wide monster caravans as I feel sure their bodies would be on the receiving end of more than a few scratches from the overhanging brambles and hedges. This is a superb area of the country to explore which has a thousand and one hidden coves to discover. As for the site which is run by Mandy and Tony, you can certainly tell that they are seasoned caravanners as they have thought of almost everything, and for those wanting a shower or loo, those provided are spotless. The only very slight criticisms I have are, (a) you have to be very thin to be able to reach all the waste bins and (b) there is zero information available about the surrounding area and in particular it would have been very helpful if there had been a plastic encapsulated section of an ordnance survey map (or similar) simply to see where exactly you were as well as in which direction to walk for and to all of the local walks. We will most definitely be returning to this amazing site, oh and if you are self sufficient with regards to electricity like we are, then ask when you book and Mandy might just give you a very reasonably discounted rate.

Lovely CL

Lovely site slightly sloping, on some pitches. The site has good access, but you need to follow the directions, otherwise you could be brought through on even narrower roads. Good security and 2 clean toilets and 1 shower. We were brought 2 boxes of eggs a short while after arriving. The site is a good place to explore the surroundings. Plenty of beaches to visit, and many of them National Trust ones, with free parking. For some the walk to the beach my take a little longer.

What a site

What a wonderful site! We have just spent three nights and have already booked for another stay. Met by Sandra and Tony who welcomed us with half a dozen eggs and a flat well drained field with stunning views down to the sea. Triple gate access maintains security at all times. Great attention to detail - from easy access to flower boxes and bunting around an enclosed pitch with more than ample room for the five vans. The toilet block is clean and well lit, when the facilities are engaged a light indicates usage, which saves a walk! FAB! On site the couple have donkeys, horses, chickens and our dog was most welcome. Plenty of walks start right outside the gate, the beaches Whistling Sands, Aberdaron, Pwhelli and loads more are all within a short drive. The peace and quiet is Soul calming, truly wonderful. Sandra and Tony showed me around their mobile home which is available to rent. It is a beautifully spacious and well equipped alternative, we may book for Christmas. We cannot recommend this Cl site highly enough, if you love the Lynne Peninsula this is the site to stay on. Stunning vistas in all directions! Thankyou Sandra and Tony for creating our home from home - cant wait to return in August!
