Beautiful spot - a real gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay despite some dreadful weather on arrival! The area is outstandingly beautiful with lovely views from this well run site. Pitches were large and well spaced, the facilities (2 loos, 1 shower) were clean and regularly serviced. We particularly liked the red light display when occupied thus avoiding unnecessary trips! Queuing was never a problem. Nearby Whistling Sands beach is fabulous with easy parking (free to NT members), a nice café and toilets. Aberdaron is a pretty place with all you need to restock, or for pubs or fish and chips. Our granddaughter particularly enjoyed the onsite goats and kids. Rose was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our stay was too short!

Gem of a site in ideal location

Wonderful site. Another case as below of booking for two nights but staying for five. Would have stayed longer if it hadn’t been the end of our two weeks. This was a trip in my campervan as opposed to my Eriba but would have been equally happy in either unit. This was by far our favourite site on the Peninsula. Tranquil, far reaching views, short walk to the coastal path and close to fabulous beaches. Nothing far away and everything a short drive or cycle ride along extremely quiet lanes. Ideally situated for access to the whole of the area. Good facilities and very well run. Everything a certificated site should be. Lovely owners. Rose is extremely welcoming and helpful. Just perfect.

Peaceful, beautiful site in ideal location

Fabulous location with a warm welcome from John and Rosemary. This site is ideal for cycling on quiet country lanes, catching the coastal bus to Pwelli or Aberdaron and watching the sun go down a short stroll from the site. Booked for 3 nights but stayed for 5 as we liked it so much. Plenty of space between units, excellent toilet and shower facilities and clear signage for recycling/rubbish. Not to be missed is a boat trip to Bardsey Island from Aberdaron - just magical! Take cash, especially change, to spend in the island's café and small pop up shops selling fresh crabs, woollen rugs, cards, books and ice cream. A truly memorable day out.

Excellent site for a memorable stay

Absolute little gem of a place. If you like a warm welcome on arrival, clean and spacious area to pitch, peace and quiet, cycling, walking, free range eggs, closeness to beautiful coastline/beaches and watching the antics of farm animals, then this is definitely the place to stay. Thank you Tony and Sandra for our memorable 4 night stay.

Excellent for cycling and walking

A great site especially if you love walking, cycling and jollity farm . Its close to the coastal path and a signed cycle route is next to the site. Tony gave us real good welcome and the free range eggs were delicious. The site is well kept with pleasant features such as tubs full of flowers.

Lovely little site

This was my first time in a certified location (rather than a bigger Club Site) and I loved it. The site was very quiet and well kept and the owners very welcoming. Lots to do in the area too - some nice beaches and good birdwatching spots not far away.

Great little site

Tidy site with friendly and welcoming owners. Close to some of the best beaches on the Llyn. Great cycling and walking from the site. Look forward to staying at this lovely site some time soon.

Lovely site

A very nice site, clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful owners. The grass is regularly cut and the clippings are collected which isn't always the case on some CLs, probably as the owners are members and know how much mess damp grass clippings can make in a caravan or motorhome. There are toilet and shower facilities available in a clean but simple building. The shower is free which is also a nice touch. Ideally located to explore the area. The access to the site is narrow but there are several passing places.

Dont take our word for it - come see for yourself - this is a Gem of a site

Well - what can we say? Tony and Sandra have a little goldmine here. From the warmest of welcomes - complete with complimentary free range eggs - to the knowledge of the local area this CL site is second to none. The facilities are spotless, the site is spacious and the four donkeys, one pony and one horse, plus the goats and chickens are such lovely neighbours - it is just a pleasure to stay here. Tony even took them all in to their stables each night then let them back out to the fields the next morning, so that they would not disturb us. The views are stunning and to get to the nearest - spotless sandy beach takes about 15minutes by foot across the most scenic countryside imaginable. The roads here are an absolute dream for cyclists. Mostly single track lanes with hardly any traffic on them they are quiet and safe and we cycled for miles without meeting any traffic at all. We came here Spring Bank Holiday, and think most of the holiday traffic gets as far as Caernarvon and then comes no further. Admittedly - when travelling from the Midlands as we did, we went via the A55 to Caernarvon and then onwards down the A499 then the B4417 and did not realise quite how far the Peninsular is, but then this is just why it is so spectacular and unspoilt. Whereas the rest of the UK was rammed and overflowing with tourists over the Bank Holiday weekend, this was like an unspoilt ,calm oasis. Peaceful and a pure delight to be here. I just wish we did not have to go so soon. But - we will definitely return - as we only scratched the surface of this lovely peninsular and there is so much more to explore and at such a leisurely pace. So yes, come and visit this site,. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely come back to Pen Yr Orsedd and sooner rather than later.
