Beautiful site

We arrived just after Easter Bank Holiday and stopped 6 nights. Very wet weather. Pitches are hard standing flat and terraced down a side of a hill. Very good service facilities. East access to the site. Quiet and lovely views. Local train station about 1/2 mile away. Cheltenham to Broadway mainly running steam and diesel. You cannot buy a ticket at the local station but the train will stop and you can get on and off and purchase on the train. Mrs Marsh (the owner) very helpful and is open to suggestions of how to make the site better. Only suggestion I would have is to put a hard standing path from the elsan point /dustbin back to the road. Would help with wet weather to stop walking over the wet grass. Please note this is not a complaint but a suggestion as the site is wonderful.

Great site

What a great site. Easy access. Water and electric for each pitch. Hard standings nice and level. Toilet emptying good. Quiet. We were only here for three nights so didn’t explore the area. Jo very friendly. Great views and a steam train passes occasionally at the bottom of the field.

Returned it is so good

This is our second trip back to this CL. It a beautiful spot, so peaceful and such stunning views, brilliant for walking. So much to do we were spoilt for choice, situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, lots of lovely towns and villages to visit nearby. Bouton-on-the Water, Winchombe, Stow-on-the-Wold, the medieval town of Tewkesbury and close by is Cheltenham with excellent shopping. An ideal site to stay on to both relax, but yet with lots nearby to see and do. WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING. The owners Dave and Jo were so welcoming and really helpful - Thank you for making our stay such a happy one!

Bank Holiday at Pardon Hill Farm

We spent the early May BH at this wonderful CL. Easy to find, just follow the written instructions to site, not sat nav, easy access through yard. Blackboard at the gate with pitch numbers and information board by the bins. Site slopes slightly downhill, but the pitches are level hardstanding & serviced, a bonus. The views are wonderful and it's very peaceful just the birds and the occasional steam train chugging through the valley. It is a working farm so at certain times of the year there will be some farm noise. Jo walks down to check all ok and will point out local walks of which there are pkenty. We walked through a couple of fields to reach the lane with leads to Gotherington Station where you can catch the train to Cheltenham or Broadway. The village has a pub, shop & PO. Bishops Cleave has bigger supermarkets including a Lidl, together with Court Farm shop which was very good. Winchcombe is a pretty little town which can also be reached by walking from the station at Greet. This is a very impressive CL and I would recommend it, we will certainly be going back.☺

Peace and Tranquility

Recently returned from a weeks stay at this relatively new CL. What a wonderful spot, with 360deg views and the occasional glimpse of a steam train what more could you want. add to this full services and a friendly welcome. The site is ideal for touring the area. We will certainly return.

A perfect, quiet weekend break.

We drove past Pardon Hill site ~ twice! Only because of our satnav advising that the site was on the right hand side.Satnavs ~ tsk! After knocking on Jo's door and turning around in her drive, we saw that the site is clearly signed on the left. Jo was extremely friendly, welcoming and cheerful, even though we felt like complete idiots having missed the site entrance. We were comforted by the fact that she said we weren't the first ones to do it. There are five pitches, all hardstanding, very spacious and all have services. Water, drainage and electricity. We stayed for 2 nights. There are facilities to empty your loo cassette and a little noticeboard with lots of information on. The views are lovely and the piece de resistance is the Gloucester and Warwickshire Steam Railway that runs below the site. We saw the steam train puff its way the track along on Sunday, whilst having our breakfast. What a treat and a truly wonderful sight. We will return to travel on it. The railway holds Fish and Chip evenings, which we are very interested in. :) Cheltenham is a short drive away and we enjoyed walking around the town with its wonderful shopping and visited an art gallery. We found all the shops were extremely welcoming. We had a fabulous break away, even though we don't live far and will definitely stay again. Pardon Hill is a true gem of a site.

One of the Best CLs anywhere.

Having caravanned for over 40 years, this site is my idea of a perfect CL. The access is perfect straight of the Gotherington Gretton Road, well signed. The welcome from Jo again wonderful. The pitches are level and fully serviced. The views are picture postcard, including the GWSR Heritage Railway. Gotherington has a shop and an excellent eatery in the Shutters public house. There is lots to do in the area, the GWSR and Cheltenham, the Cotswolds all in easy reach. It has only been open for under a year and I would guess will be incredibly successful, Jo and John have really done an incredible job and deserve the success.

Beautiful, scenic and peaceful.

We received a warm welcome from Jo on our arrival. The pitches are level and provide beautiful views of the surrounding countryside plus it is so useful to have a drinking water tap on each pitch. There were local road works being carried out during our stay that meant we had to approach the site from a different route, however Jo had given us warning of this before we booked so it did not cause any problem. There are some wonderful walks that are easily accessible from the site so we took full advantage of these. The area is reasonably hilly but the effort is more than rewarded by the breathtaking views. We enjoyed a very peaceful stay and will definitely make a return visit. Thank you Dave and Jo.

Winter Break

Have just returned from a great break at Pardon Hill Farm. Fully serviced pitches with fantastic views of the surrounding area and local wildlife all for £14 per night. Brilliant area for walking and many interesting places to visit. Jo was very friendly and only too pleased to answer any questions we had. We have already booked to return with friends later in the year.

Pardon Hill Farm, one of the best.

The owners Dave and Jo have done a great job setting up this CL. 5 Large flat hardstanding pitches, with EHU, drinking water tap and a drain at each pitch. Grand views over the fields towards The Malverns in the far distance. Open fields behind idea for walking one's dog and footpaths and bridalways close by to both Winchcombe and up onto Cleeve Hill. The site is easily reached along a quiet road through Gotherington off the A435. There is both a Lidl and a Tesco at Bishops Cleeve about 3 mls from the site, and Cheltenham racecourse and the Park & Ride is another 4 mls further on. A good site for those wishing to visit both the Cotswolds and Tewkesbury. This is a great addition to the CL network and we have already booked to return next year!!
