This is a pleasant, rural site in a village near King's Lynn. It is in a flat, open field next to the house. A church stands across the next field - worth visiting. No chimes to disturb you though!
We booked the hardstanding which was labelled with a welcome sign for us, behind which was a pack of leaflets and other material specifically for us.
The owner, Maxine, was in the adjacent field and welcomed us warmly as soon as we arrived, telling us about the facilities, which included a pipe for grey water disposal.
There was a clean and well appointed shower room with basin and toilet, as well as a sheltered noticeboard with further information.
We wished we had booked for longer and will definitely be back. Excellent value for money at just £12.00 a night. Thank you!
A very pleasent find..
We stayed here over the new year period and was very content with the site, greeting and location.
On arrival we were the only campers on site but was told to use the hard standing area, this I was glad of as it rained and the grounds became very soft under foot and my van is 'notorious' for getting bogged -down.
The site itself is gated, level with fields to one side (horses and sheep) and high bush surrounding,
the toilet and shower room are nearer the house about 100-200 yds away, directions to this are on the side gate. We never used the shower but I observed it to be of a decent standard, hand wash/paper towels and toilet paper are provided. Water, waste disposal and information are provided and located near the entrance gate.
Mrs M was a very charming lady, ever so apologetic about missing us on day one but that not problem.
Will be returning here without a question as we visit this area quite a lot.
Lovely, site/grounds
Lovely people
Thank you....
Lovely site
We stayed here just for two nights on our way to Norfolk Broads site. Lovely site and a very warm welcome from Maxine. The site is on a slight slope but is very well maintained. There is some noise from the A47 but not enough to stop the peace and tranquillity of the site. There is a toilet and shower in one of the outbuildings, great after a long walk along the lanes with the dogs. Lovely little village with just about everything you may need although I wouldn't recommend the fish and chip shop. All in all a great little site to be recommended. We will be back.
Gorgeous CL, West Norfolk
We spent four nights here at the start of August. Immaculately maintained field with lovely views to the church; really friendly owner who provided lots of useful local information. Immediate surroundings are lovely for walking and pottering. We did the ‘Tornado Trail’ in King’s Lynn and found the nearby Fenland and West Norfolk Aviation Museum fascinating, with a really enthusiastic and knowledgeable gentleman to talk us through the exhibits and ‘scrapyard’. We also visited RSPB Snettisham. A lovely relaxing stay, thank you.
so friendly
we have used this site on a number of times Maxine makes you feel very welcome please don't go to Dumfries!!!!

perfect
stayed here for 7 nights and it was perfect, the site is well maintained and they facilities are fit for purpose. Finding our allocated pitch was a doddle as there was a post with out name on indicating our pitch. As they only have 5 vans at any time there was plenty of space as the field is large. There was a welcome pack full of leaflets for various places to visit. Max is lovely and very welcoming. Other people have mentioned road noise but we didn't find this a problem. Once you leave the site you can walk for miles down the lanes All in all it is a great site and we will be back later this year.
Great CL, very peaceful.
We stayed here for 3 nights and found it very easy to find and a good sized level site.
It was very quiet, as we were the only ones on site from Sunday. The shower and toilet were adequate for our needs.
Max, the owner, was very friendly and supplied a full range on leaflets etc to the area.
There is a bit of rumble from the A47 and a bit of aircraft noise at times, neither of which we found intrusive.
All in all a great site.
A little gem
Quiet site ( except for a bit of RAF activity), bit of a walk to the village for shop/pub/restaurant. Roomy paddock EHU, Shower, WC. Good price at £11 in August when we went. Max was very friendly, I'd definitely go again.
Spacious & Well Kept
We have just spent the weekend on this site, it was easy to find and an information pack was provided on arrival. It's spacious and well kept with nice views to the church and surrounding chickens, ponies and sheep. Nice peaceful site, there was some road noise from the A47 but I suppose it depends on the wind direction and it was quite windy. Would certainly visit again. Local pub food was good but don't allow dogs inside, so had to sit in the garden which was quite pleasant.
The Old School House Terrington St Johns (May 2014)
We have just returned home from a weeks stay at the Old School House CL owned by Mr and Mrs Munday, what a lovely, pleasant couple, so helpful. we enjoyed it so much we stayed for a couple of extra days. On arrival we were met with a welcome pack containing lot's of information about the surrounding area Sandringham, Kings Lynn, Wisbech together with loads of information such as doctors supermarkets pubs and local shops. the site was flat quiet and well looked after with lots of space. Our pitch overlooked the local village church of St John's. The site is dog friendly with a quiet lane next to the site where you can walk your dog. We only wish it was closer to Wigan so that we could use it more frequently. We will visit the Munday's again!.
