The Old School House, Kings Lynn....A grand CL

It's has been a few years since we last visited and Max, the owner, has put a lot of work into adding extra features to the site. There is now room for 3 units on the Hard Standing area, as well as the large grass area where there's lots of pitching room. Each of the pitches now have their own water supply, although it being winter these were not in use while we were there. Also there is now a separate paddock where one can let ones dog(s) run free. There is a toilet and shower, for which there is no extra charge. The site is easily accessed of the A47, from which there is some road noise at times, depending on the wind direction. The whole site is sheltered on 3 sides but there are views towards Terrington St John Church. Kings Lynn has all the necessary supermarkets, and is also a very interesting place to visit for it's history and buildings. There are many other places of interest close by such as Sandringham, and Castle Rising. We will certainly return to this grand site.

Warm welcome and lovely site

We enjoyed 7 nights here and can recommend this site. The pitches are flat and mostly level, there is plenty of space and access is good. The owner is extremely helpful and provides local information.

a little gem

A tranquil picturesque little site, relatively flat grassed but with hard standing for cars or if needed for motorhomes in wetter conditions. Owners couldnt be more friendly or helpful, and the other site users when we were there were all regulars - so that says a lot, they all seemed a very friendly bunch many of whom come several times a year. You can position your caravan any way round you like and the plots are very generously sized. We faced a field of 2 sheep/2 horses and the local church. Toilet and shower clean and free with plenty of hot water. Grey water can be discharged into hedhe bottom so no need for wastemaster. Quiet roads around the site for cycling and loads of lanes/paths for walking. Also good local pub The Coach and Horses within reasonable walking distance. Well situated for a number of interesting days out in the surrounding area. Cant wait to go back.

This is a great CL!

Very much enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful view of the church and some super cycling around the pretty villages along the quiet country lanes. Really kind welcome from owner Maxine who, along with her husband, keep the site beautifully maintained. Thank you for having us and hope to visit again.

Lovely site

Great communication from Max when booking and a very warm welcome upon arrival. Very relaxed re where to set up and no long list of rules. Easy access to nearby village. Max was heading into King's Lynn at the same time as us and very kindly dropped us off. Will definitely return if visiting the area again. Thank you Max.

Excellent site

What an excellent site , superb location with lovely view of church, and within a mile walk into the village with shops and pub Nice flat grassed field as well as a large hardstanding area for larger units or for when the weather is a bit inclement and the ground is soft Extremely pleasant owner who is very helpful and accommodating. Usual CDP and water taps and well cared for shower/ toilet room ,no charge for shower Site also benefits for EHU for those that want it All in all a super little site that we will be returning to

Fleeting Visit

Stayed for single night in early December to attend a function in the village. Pitch already allocated for our arrival with the usual welcome pack of leaflets, which would put many Tourist Information Centres to shame, even though we were there just for the one night. Ground was soggy after snow the day before so requested to park on hard-standing and use motor-mover to get caravan in, could be a problem for motor-homers or older vans without movers, but there is a tractor available if required. Maxine & Ray(?) very welcoming and friendly. Pretty peaceful location, however, road noise from the nearly A47 may be an issue for light sleepers. Facilities-wise, very good, all clearly marked and easy to find. Walk into village takes 15-20 minutes for able-bodied with pavement and street-lighting after first quarter-mile. Recommend The Barn restaurant set behind the Woolpack pub.

No More To Be Said

We stayed here for a week in summer and can highly recommend this site . Maxine was on hand as we arrived and made us very welcome , our pitch had our name on it with a welcome pack of info both of places to visit and of the local village (approx. 1/2 mile away) .Pitches were flat and well maintained . A waste pipe was provided on all pitches so we didn't have to bother emptying wastemaster all the time . Toilet and shower room by main house (nice and clean) only very short walk from pitch . Slight noise from A47 but not obtrusive and didn't disturb us at all . Only word of warning , if you stay here in Summer and they come to cut grass (as during our stay) make sure you close all windows and door of your 'van , as all the little midges take flight and they can get round flyscreens as they are so small !!!! If you're an animal lover Maxine has a few horses in adjoining field and watch out at dusk for the owls that come to perch nearby . All in all a lovely stay with lovely people !!!!!

It is in a flat, open field next to the house a shower & WC available Owner Mrs M.Mundy very friendly and helpful also provided leaflets of all the places to visit in the area.
