Great site for children's safety.

We spent 2 nights here and had a lovely time. We especially liked the security of the site as the kids could run around and play and we didn’t really have to worry about their safety. Also the location is fantastic and there are some lovely pubs in close proximity, a park for the kids to play in, shops and a fish and chips shop in short walking distance. The shower and toilet block was very nice and well maintained. We didn't notice very much road noise although this may be different during term time. Overall we were very pleased with our stay, and would definitely come back again.

Lovely site for relaxing.

Spent 9 nights here at this lovely site. Once school run is over it is quiet, the odd car noise only now and again. £1 for 5 mins for the shower is a bit steep (£1 for 10 min would give less mobile users more time to get in and sorted) but Rob and Candace have done a good job of making it really nice and keeping it clean. The shower floor is very slippery though and needs a non slip mat. The security of the site is a plus as once through the large full height gates, no one can see in. Very close to all amenities and lovely bakers just up the road. Local fish and chip shop not so great, thick batter to make fish appear bigger, wouldn’t suggest. Great site for exploring the New Forest and easy access to and from the A31. Ringwood has great selection of pubs, eateries and the Conservative Club is worth a visit, friendly, cheap drink and good food. Owners have installed new hard standing so will be back even if the weathers isn’t great! Would whole heartedly recommend this site 👍

Great Place to chill out

We wanted to get away locally for a long weekend with the dog. After reading previous reviews we chose Old Farm. On arrival, through the gates on the left, the entrance is a bit tight but fairly straight forward. We were met with a tidy well looked after site. We were welcomed by Candace and she gave us some information about the local area dog walks. The site is flat so the set up was straight forward. I think the site would be a bit cosy with 5 vans but you would still have enough room. A big plus is that the site is out of view once the gates are shut. I am not one to pay for a shower as I think that this should be included in the tariff. I made an exception here as I have stayed in hotels with worse shower facilities. The facility is new and very clean, the owners have obviously invested a few bob in the shower and toilet area. There is a bit of occasional road noise that will be annoying if you want it to be. It didn't bother us. There is a good walk for our elderly dog which took about 45 minutes. Apparently there are longer walks. All in all this is a great site and well positioned to visit the local areas. This site is up there with the better sites we have visited over the last few years.

Great site to unwind, rest and relax....or get on your bike and ride into the forest and beyond.

We booked a week at Old Farm CL in August. In hindsight wish we had stayed longer! Easy access from the A31 (approx. 1 ½ miles along good quality roads). Follow directions in the CAMC book. As we have a long, twin axle caravan we parked in Gorley Road, close to the junction of Cowpitts Lane to be able to open the gates which are normally closed. We were met by Rob who pointed out our large, grass pitch and the whereabouts of the site’s facilities. These include two toilets (one with a walk-in shower – cost £1.00 / 5 minutes), a book exchange, recycling, water and Elsan point. Although the pitches themselves are unmarked they are large, flat and with sufficient space to enable you to pitch a large caravan and awning plus car without interfering on your neighbours pitch. The field was closely mowed and in good condition during our stay despite the torrential rain on Sunday! There is 10 amp electricity (With the ability to re-set if tripped) and has free WiFi on all pitches although the connection did vary at times. There are chickens in an enclosure (We were met by a chicken that had escaped!) and found Rob and Candice to be really friendly and only too willing to help. They have an information pack which is available on request. Although they live next to the CL their mobile numbers are available should you need to contact them for anything. The area is ideal for cycling and walking – access to the New Forest is a short bike ride away. For bird spotting Blashford Lakes is a 10 minute drive from the CL – binoculars are definitely recommended. Further afield you will find shopping in nearby Ringwood and Bournemouth is less than half an hour by car. There is also a Tesco Express within walking distance from the CL. Trips to Burley, Bolderwood, the Ornamental Drive, Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst should not be missed – all are definitely recommended. In conclusion we had a very pleasant stay at Old Farm CL and will definitely return again in due course.

Wonderful find

We stayed for 3 night's from 17th to 20th Sept and could not have wished for a better site. Warm, welcoming, informative greeting on arrival. Large pitches, clean, comfortable amenities and a quiet place to stay from which to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. Shops and 2 good pubs within easy walking distance and a easy walk to the pretty town of Ringwood. We will be back! Bruce and Debbie Bullock

Great little site, ideal location for The New Forest

This was a great little find , we spent 2 glorious weeks here basking in the sun. Nice toilet block and good sized pitches, well maintained and ideal to explore the New Forest or just a short 25 minute drive through glorious countryside to some fantastic beaches. nice easy walks into the forest from here. look out for the Steak night every Thursday at the local pub (15 mins stroll away) 2 steaks for the price of 1. Mmmm lovely. Like a previous comment do try and arrive before the school pick up occurs (3-4pm) as I would expect it to be extremely difficult to get through. we never had this trouble as our visit was in the school holidays. the only downside was that the main Southampton to Ringwood road which gets heavily congested, if you can deal with that then this site is up with the best,

A well kept site.

Have just had a week at Old Farm, Poulner, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are a very pleasant young couple who caravan themselves. Facilities are very good with plentiful hot water for showering and cleaned twice a day. Good pubs and an excellent fish and chip shop within waking distance. Only marked it down for "Ease of arrival", due the tight turn for a car and caravan on a corner into the site. Avoid arriving between 3-4pm when parents are picking up their children at the school opposite and seem to park everywhere.

Lovely CL

We spent a wonderful week at this lovely CL in September. For us it was a perfect base for exploring the beautiful New Forest with our two dogs. Although very quiet and peaceful and within walking distance of Forest walks, it is also very conveniently placed for visiting Ringwood, with a Tesco Express just minutes away. The owners were so helpful and friendly, it made our stay there a holiday to remember.

A charming site - with a very friendly robin!

This is a lovely site. Having five caravans in over an off-season October weekend tells its own story. Ease of access to local amenities, to the A31 and especially to parts of the New Forest north of that road are a real bonus. It is level, often mowed, and Candace made us very welcome. We were befriended by a particularly tame robin who invited himself into our caravan on several occasions. We now have family in the local area so will hopefully go back.

wonderful site

We stayed here towards the end of August, meeting up with friends there in our motorhomes. Although we spent most of our 3 days just sitting around chatting, eating and drinking, we did walk to the local Tesco and had fish and chips from the shop next to Tesco. The owners, Mr and Mrs Surman were very helpful. We bought fresh eggs from their free range chickens - some of which greeted us on our arrival. There are 2 new toilets, one with a walk - in shower too (£1.00 charge), both spotlessly clean and equipped with soap and towel. We will return to explore the area further.
