Great CL, very peaceful.

This site really is a little gem, Very well kept and very peaceful. It is very accessible, only 200 yards off a dual carriageway. Having researched the immediate area before our visit there were no surprises for us, everything was as we had hoped. You can hear a small amount of traffic from the distance if you are outside your unit but it is so minimal that we couldn't hear anything when inside our outfit there really is no problem with traffic noise. The only thing that surprised us was fellow visitors thinking that there would be shops or pubs on the doorstep. There isn't, nor are any advertised. I would describe the location as quiet and out of the way of the hussle and bustle of the Lake District but as you are only a 20 minute slow drive away from places like Bowness and Windermere that is a big plus in our opinion. A super CL that will get many more visits from us and one that we would thoroughly recommend. Perfect for the South Lakes area.

A little Gem !!!!

Must agree with Tillydog. Entering the site was very easy. The site has the hard standings in a row facing a meadow. The meadow has the edge cut to allow a short dog walk. The site is very well tended and is very clean and tidy. Yes, there is noise from traffic on the A590 but it is not oppressive. When we left the site we had to turn right onto the A590 and go down to the roundabout at Newby Bridge less than a two mile round trip, because of the volume of traffic (local show nearby). Again it's a site we would use again for the South Lakes.

July Visit

Well kept site with easy access from A590. No twisty lanes to contend with. 200 metres and you're there! All hardstandings so no problem when it rains though pegging out an awning would be a chore. Peter, the owner is discretely on hand if required. Re-cycling of rubbish very good and never saw a full bin throughout our stay. A bit of nuisance noise from the A590 but this was not really an issue and certainly not a problem in the night. Will certainly re-visit in the future.
