We stayed, luckily, when the weather was fabulous. The site is beautiful, with a cute little shower and a well maintained toilet block nearby. Our neighbours were a herd of young cows who regularly walked over to watch us! In addition we saw hares playing in the field, kites flying over head and curlews calling from afar. Going into York was an easy drive to the park and ride, whilst access to other sites such as the Pocklington Canal, National Trust sites etc were a short drive away. Communication with Sam was easy via text and she replied very promptly. In all we had such a peaceful week, we decided we must come back!
