Little gem ideal for visiting York

Lovely flat and secluded site with superb toilets! Easy wide access and all the facilities are beautifully kept. Perfect location for visiting York and the nearby towns with park and ride nearby. Stayed here for a very wet and wild few days and Tim the owner went out of his way to make sure everyone was ok, including helping us when we had a problem with the electrics on our van. Thoroughly recommended and we'll definitely be returning (if we can get in)

Great location

Just back from a bank holiday stay, easy arrival and entrance to site, well signed. Very well groomed field, great facilities, good spacing between your neighbours, fabulous views of the farms south Devon cows, we were lucky enough to see the calf’s with the mothers. Well located for A1, York and Harrogate, can’t recommend enough, would definitely return.

Close to York

We had 2 nights here just before May day. The site is away from noisy A roads and is peaceful apart from the usual farm noises ,but that's what CL sites are all about. The owners are really friendly and the site is beautifully kept. Access to York is excellent and if you're popping there for the day I'd recommend catching the train from Poppleton. It's only a couple of miles from the site and has free parking for 12 cars for the day followed by a 5 or 6 min train ride to York. We got a duo ticket for £5.70 for the two of us return. Be aware that the published price is £16/night. That's now £18 but still good value.

Very nice weekend at this lovely cl,very peaceful and tranquil the owners are very nice would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Relaxing

What a little gem of a site. Quiet clean well groomed site. Easy access to Harrogate Wetherby and surrounding areas. Samantha Tim and Lois were only to happy to make our stay as pleasant as possible and nothing was to much trouble. We were met by Samantha with a smile and pleasant welcome before Tim arrived to trim the glass although it didn’t really need it but this is the attention to detail and effort they put into running the site ten out of ten wonderful site and family give it go

Lovely CL

We have just returned from our first stay at this lovely site and it certainly won’t be our last! The Abbey family,Tim,Sam and daughter Lois are committed to making a success of their new venture and were really welcoming and friendly... their dogs were a delight too ! The site is tucked away behind their lovely farmhouse and really easy to find and access . There is plenty of space for 5 vans and the water and waste area is well looked after and just at the entrance to the field. This is a working farm and the Abbey’s breed their South Devon cattle which are lovely animals to look at. They hadn’t been turned out when we were staying but hope to see them grazing in the field on our next visit😀 There are lots of places to visit within easy reach of the site and Sam provided a list of local info on booking. We met up there with friends and it was just great to feel safe having an outdoor catch up in such lovely surroundings. Can’t wait to go back again .. thanks

What a gem.

What a find. Tim and Samantha maybe new to cl ownership but they're on to a winner here. Only 5 mins drive from the York park and ride and 20 mins from Knaresbrough. The site is in a secluded paddock to the rear of their working farm. The site is grass pitches with electric to each pitch. Grass is kept relatively short for easy maneuvering with lovely open views of the countryside. Will definitely be back.

great place to stay.

Thankyou for a peaceful few days on your lovely site. This is a fabulous cl - very quiet - out of sight of the road - a high hedge to shelter from the wind - a lovely sunny spot. Service point is very well organized in a fenced off corner and beautifully clean toilets and sinks are available. This is a new site which will be very popular once it gets known.

GREAT SITE

Perfect new C.L. site, I think it will be very busy in the future. Central for visiting all places of interest. Lovely people (and pooches too lol) we will return.

Just perfect

This is a very flat clean perfect site. There are no problems with access and site can cope with the larger vans.The site owners are brill and cant do enough for you and the facilities are clean with good access.We stayed for 3 nights nd will be returning next time we go to york, but i think this site will fill up vary quickly. yes the site is that good.
