A Central Base For Exploring Dorset

Access to the site is easy but you need to note that on entering the gate to Nutley Farm the site is immediately on the right hand site. This is a good base for exploring Dorset, Lulworth Cove, Stair Hole and Durdle Door but note the walks east from Lulworth may be closed due to the MOD firing ranges. The Tank Museum at Bovington Camp is well worth a visit as is the Walled Garden at Moreton which is about an hours walk away. The site is level and inspite of heavy rain during our stay standing water drained quickly so there were only limited puddles on the site. On the negative site the road alongside the site was a bit noisier than I expected but this was due to farm vehicles rather than cars. The cover for the CDP was a large piece of industrial grade plywood which could do with a handle on the top to make it easier and cleaner to lift. On the whole this is a site which we would look at returning to if we were to visit Dorset again.
