Really enjoyed our week at Northlees. Andy and Jean have constructed a very nice CL surrounded by fantastic views. Pitches are spacious and well spaced. Booked in for 4 nights but stayed 7. Did a different walk every day with our dog. Jean's cakes were snaffled as soon as they were placed in the wee hut. Look forward to returning. Ian & Val
We stayed here with our motorhome (2 adults and 2 teenage sons) - absolutely stunning drive up to it (although narrow roads no probs with 7.5m! Motorhome)
Couldn't believe our eyes when we got to the top and saw the view - wow!
Nice big pitches well spaced out. Electric water and drainage on each pitch and a well designed chemical Waste point.
Lovely walks/cycles all around accessed directly from the farm
Owners were fabulous and very welcoming.
Jean stocks the hut on the site with really good homebakes all at very good prices also fresh eggs hen and duck free range.
Jean had a tough job keeping up with my teenage boys snapping up the lovely homebakes as soon as she stocked up!
Definitely a working farm which made it special for us to watch. Andy could regularly be seen on his quad with the beautiful collies rounding up and feeding the sheep.
Can't forget to mention the family dog Annie the westie, we loved her having a wee walk down to visit us when she fancied a change of scenery - definitely adopted her for the weekend!
Fabulous location fabulous people great service
Don't hesitate to book.
We were privileged to be amongst the very first people to stay on this very special CL and ended up staying on for as long as we could.
We were given a very warm welcome by Jean and Andy who are so friendly and kind. Because of the pandemic I was teaching music online and Jean very generously let me in the farmhouse to do this and supplied tea, coffee and baking to keep me going! Jean keeps a little hut supplied with delicious home baking and eggs that you can buy for a very reasonable price.
The first thing we noticed was the big view of the Tay and countryside beyond that blew us away.I am an artist and have painted it in all its changing weather. In the foreground are Cheviot sheep, lambs, four donkeys and a rescue cow. We love sitting in our chairs looking at the view.
There are amazing woodland walks out to the back that were great for me because I'm recovering from a broken pelvis. You can walk or cycle miles. There are also great mountain bike trails at the back.
The pitches are lovely and big, each with a tap and drain.
It's a working farm so expect farm business around you, rounding up of sheep with fabulous dogs, cock crow at dawn etc. This all adds to the character of the CL .
The CL is within easy reach of lovely Perth and all its fabulous facilities.
A fantastic location for peaceful break away.
5 new pitches with stunning views across the Silvery River Tay as it makes it way up to Perth. Pitches have electrical hook up and water. There is a single waste disposal for the site.
Both Andy and Jean are friendly and love a chat.
It easy to get to only minutes from the main dual carriageway between Perth and Dundee just above the village of Kinfauns. Small B class road for a couple of miles and then a farm track for last 200m or so.
Beautiful walks all around the site, through forest paths and to some stunning viewpoints.
The small information hut has details of walks and farm produce on sale via an honesty box. Home baking, fresh duck and hems eggs and are available.
They are all very inexpensive and a must.
Perth and Scone are only a few minutes away by car where you a supermarkets and fantastic restaurants.
One thing to remember it is a working farm, Andy is always out and about on his quad, and we had sheep and lambs in the field next to us, you do hear the animal and cockerels in the morning. It’s a farm! So you should expect it!
Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. Wish I could upload my photos to let people see!
