Thoughtful touches

Lovely little well kept site with some nice thoughtful touches eg: grass around corn field cut regularly to make comfortable dog walking with the occasional seat for resting and hand sanitizer at toilet waste disposal point. Owners very helpful and friendly Not far off A14 so is handy for stopover and is central for all activities around Kettering and district for longer stays. A14 can be a bit noisy if you have to have all your vents open but didn't spoil our stay and we live in the middle of nowhere! Will definitely return. Dave and Val Attridge with Buddy our Staffie. Motorhomers.

Love it here

We have been here three times I think and will be coming back again and again. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel very at home, the dog walk is fantastic (our dogs also love it here) and you get to chat to the sheep and the alpacas whilst eating your dinner. There is noise from the road (A14) not sure if this would not be so loud if down on the grass pitches as we've only stopped on the hardstanding. Really well positioned in the county to visit everything you would wish to visit. A cracking little find of a site.

Lovely farm CL

This is our 3 rd visit. We have family in cransley and this is an ideal site for our visit.Always get a warm welcome, and owners are very helpful. The site is very neat, and the views are stunning.Pitches are nice and flat, and you wake up to the sheep and alpacas peeping over the fence.Ascess is very good just off A14.There is a bit of road noise but that in no way spoiled a great few days.

Weekend in the Countryside combined with a visit to London w/e 25/11/16

We chose this CL as we wanted to combine a break in the countryside with a trip to London without paying the extortionate London hotel prices. Access to London is simple and fast from Kettering although we chose to do the 30min drive to Bedford, £2.80 parking and £14.60 return with plentiful trains into the middle of London and running late into the evening. The site is worth visiting just to feed the Donkeys and Alpaca’s, Frances was the perfect host taking time out of her Sunday to take myself and my partner to meet the animals including a pet sheep who’s name I have to confess I have forgotten. The countryside around Kettering is surprisingly picturesque at times the lovely little villages reminding me of the Cotswolds with the buildings of light coloured stone. We can recommend the Sunday Lunch at the Sondes Arms Rockingham. Overall and excellent weekend at a clean, neat and tidy site, you are near the A14 so expect some road noise but it really isn’t intrusive. Both my Kids live and work in London so this site works for myself in so many ways and I can definitely recommend a visit. Finally like the idiot I am I lost my Caravan Keys (Now Found) and the assistance that I received during the search was just brilliant.

A GREAT CL

This is an excellent site with very good facilities and a warm welcome. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the site to other members. The road noise mentioned in an earlier review is not intrusive.

First weekend in our new van

This was our first weekend in our new van and just wanted somewhere not too far from home to try everything out etc. What a lovely first weekend we had! Met at the reception by Mr Pope and shown to the site and the water, electric etc. Lovely hard standing spot with lovely views across the fields. It was bonfire night and there were a lot of fireworks going off at a display at nearby Wicksteed Park, but our greyhound isn't bothered by them so all was fine! Mrs Pope had remembered I had said I would like to meet the resident alpacas and donkeys and called for me the next morning so I could go and help feed them! Spent a lovely time feeding them in the wintery sunshine. Mr and Mrs Pope are such nice people and found them very kind and great to chat to and we're kind enough to take photos of me with the animals A really nice CL site with the added bonus of the animals! We were only 50 minutes from home but the relaxing weekend did us both good. I have a feeling this could become a favourite little hideaway for us when we want to escape for some peace and quiet. Just as we were going home we watched a Red Kite for ages swooping over the fields. We will definitely be back in the spring!

Best owners

Firstly I only marked down the "Peace and tranquility" as road sounds and two tones from A14 are audible, but not to much of a problem. Mr and Mrs Pope's kindness started when we booked, on arrival met by a super message on the whiteboard and their kindness continued (including when we had a problem with the car his brother came over to take a look and offer advice). The Alpacas, sheep and donkeys make this an interesting site just lean on a gate and watch as you fill your water! Boughton House is a "must visit" so check when it is open.  3 caravan dealers in easy distance to browse and look for new van ideas or accessories.  We will be staying again.

Funtastic CL

We would just like to say what a funtastic CL this was. With a combined total of 7 grandchildren it was wonderful that the owners took time out of their day to show us all the Alpacas and Donkeys as well as the sheep. They also allowed the children to feed the livestock as well as bringing the donkeys up for the kids to groom and pet them. Lovely photo opportunities for us and some very happy memories captured on film. We will most definitely become regular visitor's to this wonderful little CL in the heart of Northamptonshire. Thank you very much for your time.
