So well.organised and lovely setting

Excellent well organised site. Pre-booking is essential and the friendly owner John, will send you details of their VERY informative webpage. The gate code is texted just prior to arrival. So much thought has gone in to this beautiful site. The short grass is on a slope but levelling blocks are available. Small woodland paths lead to extension tubes for diverting grey water to hedges. Chimeneas. Solar battery charging facility. Superb information point. Clear pitch allocation. Bird song freely available. Personal picnic table. Obviously designed by a camper. Need septic tank friendly fluid, or like us, use none. All for £12.50 -no EHU.

Best CL ever

Newton Grove is just the best CL - John is so welcoming and works really hard to make the site beautiful, tranquil and welcoming everytime. We love this oasis - peaceful, great access to local walks and the bird song in season is amazing. Treat yourselves...

A well kept site in a lovely area

We used this site as an overnight stop over but we’ll definitely come back for a longer stay. It is very well maintained and in a lovely location, in open countryside but close to pretty villages. A great facility at a great price.

Wonderful Off-Grid site with unusual benefits

Newton Grove is an immaculately kept site in some wonderful countryside. All the facilities of the site were well thought out and perfectly maintained. John Clifton the owner is very friendly and couldn't be more helpful for his guests. He has even provided a number of solar panel based units to help you charge your batteries if you don't have your own panels. The area around the site is great for cycling but expect some hills, also the local pub served great food. This was the first time we actually stayed and so able to leave a review but I did visit a few years back for other reasons and made a video of the site that you can watch here. https://youtu.be/oOM7eX_0d_w

Fabulous week at Newton Grove

We had stayed once before at Newton Grove, just for the one night and were struck by the peace and tranquility of the location that we vowed to return again. That return visit was for a full week, having departed the site this morning. This was our first real foray into staying without EHU for a reasonable period and apart from our battery and solar controller failing, all was good! To be fair, we had expected to need to sort those items out. Here's a link to the solar and battery problems. https://www.caravanramblings.co.uk/?p=4991 This is a also a great site to start your off-grid experiences because John has a few solar items for use by his guests - including a solar station where one can charge the laptop, toothbrush and even the leisure battery. Enough about technology. There are lots of walks in the area and places to see. On one day we visited Oxford, via a walk to Milcombe, Bus to Banbury and then train to Oxford. We also walked to Great Tew park and spent time at the Falkland Arms. I'm told the Falkland Islands are named after this pub. These days you're likely to bump into David Beckham at the Falkland Arms. Rousham house and gardens are close by. So many nice pubs we didn't get to visit so we will plan a return visit. We left today for a large club site in the Cotswolds and wonder why we are paying six times the price for a view of endless rows of white boxes. The future of Off Grid CLs

No electric CLs used to be a scruffy field by a road. No more! This site is amazing. Beautifully manicured and collected grass. Picnic tables and fire pits. Solar chargers for you to use. Security gate. On line booking and payment system which works seamlessly Some pitches need levelling blocks, but the 2 hardstandings are level for motorhomes., and there are a couple of other level spots. Really quiet, with nice walks through a fabulous village and wooded area to walk the dog. I cannot praise this site enough take the plunge and try life without hook up!

A super CL

We have just spent a very enjoyable Easter break at Newton Grove. Met John when we arrived on Friday and had a pleasant chat. We walked to bloxham and had coffee in the white lion café on the Saturday and to the George inn in barford st Micheal on the Sunday all very nice, the site is a very well cared for CL and we will revisit.

Hidden Gem

We originally booked this site as a stopover on our way to Kent but now have plans to book an extended stay as this was such a wonderful place for peaceful days and incredible star lit nights! John was incredibly helpful; being very prompt with confirming booking, the detailed instructions to both access and use the site as well as updates to plans. There were reservation signs clearly identifying spaces so there was no confusion about pitches and we were able to book one of the 2 hardstanding pitches (needed as we booked in October) that were thoughtfully as level as possible. The CL is very secure and has walking access to some picturesque villages and landscapes. There is easy access to drinking water, chemical disposal point, grey waste and well labelled recycling. If you want peace and quiet, a beautifully maintained site in stunning scenery then give John a call! We certainly will be visiting again.

Excellent CL

We have just returned from this beautiful site and I can honestly say it’s probably the best CL we have ever stayed on, despite being off the grid the owner John has gone out of his way to make this accessible to everybody with solar charging points and even toilet fluid for those who have left theirs at home, fire pits at various points around the site which are filled with logs. We were met by John and made very welcome and he even gave us extension pipes for our waste water to go straight into the woods. Grass is very short and no grass clippings, so a nice clean caravan. We will certainly be returning to this beautiful peaceful well kept site. Thank you John

Wish there were more like this

Absolutely loved this place. Plenty of room to keep a sociable distance, but also maintain privacy, and have a really peaceful, enjoyable stay. Lots of information is provided about everything that may cross your mind, and plenty of little touches are present that may not have cost that much, but actually they make all the difference. 10/10 for the mowing too!! It was exactly what we were looking for and we will be back for sure. Please dont change it, and keep up the good work.
