Peaceful haven
We stayed 2 nights in June 2024. The site is unique in being on grass in the grounds of Netherhall estate, although the main house has gone. It is surrounded by trees, rhododendrons and wild flowers; absolute tranquillity. The weather was gorgeous, which added to the pleasure of sitting outside listening to the birdsong. The facilities were fine and the welcome was warm and helpful. We enjoyed the Roman museum and fort, and also the aquarium in Maryport. We paid £12 with electric hook up. Perfect for a summer stay.
