A quiet haven of beauty

Deniese the owner is an absolute angel. She is very welcoming and makes sure you are all ok and settled in. The CL is professionally laid out and easy to find but mind this is Cornwall so prepare for some narrow roads (please see my what3words suggestions below). The surrounding area is beautiful and it is so quiet here. Sunsets are amazing to watch and the night sky is so clear to view, with sheep in the next field and chickens roaming around this really is how CL sites should be We highly recommend this CL for anyone looking to get back to nature alongside great hospitality. Peaceful Stay

Stayed here one night on way to St Agnes Club Site, easy access to Bude and other coast, warm welcome from Deneise and the chickens! Nice to find a site that is back to basics just what we wanted. Thank you Deneise.

Perfect peaceful CL

Booked at short notice. Warm welcome from Denise - perfect location for a quiet weekend stay. We walked to Moor View nursery (30 mins) and went bodyboarding at Widemouth bay (20 minutes by car) Will definitely return to explore the area more and enjoy this beautiful CL

Peaceful location

Lovely peaceful site. Denise was friendly and helpful and the dogs loved the nearby forest walks - even finding a place to splash about in the river.

Perfect CL site

Everything a CL site should be. A simple grass field with Water and chemical toilet disposal. Total peace and quiet. Just up the road is a lovely forestry commission wood which the dogs loved. We look forward to returning

Break away from the hustle and bustle

We made a late booking, calling Denise only a couple of hours before arriving at this hidden gem of a site for a one night stay. We were made very welcome, and although the weather was not brilliant (hill mist and fog!) the site, surrounded in lush green fields and woodland was perfect for us to relax for the evening. Molly(the retriever) came and checked up on us in the morning, leaving us to enjoy a very late breakfast. With no blue sky but a warm morning none the less we decided we would definitely return and give ourselves more time to explore the surrounding countryside, maybe bringing our bikes next time. Peace & tranquillity assured............

My wife and I have just returned from Moorhaven Farm after a glorious 10-night stay, post the lockdown and we could not have wished for a better place to have chosen. Deniese & Molly (her golden retriever) were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble at all, she would visit daily to make sure we were all ok and would say when she was going shopping "was there anything that we would need picking up" We had lovely fresh large eggs when we wanted them and at a very good price too. The site is a fenced off field, gently sloping and backing onto further fields with our 'local neighbours' being Deniese's flock of sheep, of which many have names! The site is so peaceful and overlooks woodland. A 3-minute walk down the (quiet) lane, takes you on a 3.5 mile walk (out and back) down a very long tracked road heading towards a manor, then a further forestry track, surrounded by glorious woodland. The site has basic facility's of fresh water via a bore hole, chemical waste disposal point and full recycling facilities and does not have EHU. For us, this was such an ideal CL, if you are after all 'bells and whistles' then this CL maybe not for you, but if you want peace and quiet without any hustle and have plenty of space without too many other units, then this could be for you! We will most definitely be returning to visit Deniese and Molly soon... Huey & Carolyn

Perfect piece and quite

Wow we can't believe this site was not fully booked in August, it was perfect for us and our two dogs Ray & Deniese were very welcoming and full of local knowledge (especially for dog friendly places to visit & things to do) The site has great views over the local countryside, with a nice walk into woods just a little way down the quite lane. Access to lots of places in North Cornwall & Devon was easy as was access into the site with a long car and twin axle caravan Next time we visit the area we will be sure to stay here.

Return Visit.

Another lovely peaceful stay, thanks to Ray and Deniese for making our break so enjoyable. Such great views make this a perfect spot to get away from it all. A special thank you to Ray for driving us to Davids concert on time and bringing us 'home' again after a few beers, it was very much appreciated. Hopefully see you again in the near future.

Friendly and peaceful site

A very warm and friendly welcome from Ray and Deniese (and Molly the retriever). Nothing was too much trouble. We only stayed for two nights as we were on our way home from a tour of southwest Cornwall. It is such a lovely site, we will be back! We also highly recommend the farm's very free range eggs.
