We were nicely met and showed to our site which had a lovely view over fields of sheep and woodlands. The owners were very friendly and helpful, especially when our visit was cut short after just two nights due to a family crisis.
We will definitely be going back, hopefully in May next year when the lambs will be younger. Sheep watching is my new hobby, and very entertaining it is too.
This is a basic site, but it's good value, and if you are looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing with friendly owners, you'd be hard pushed to beat it.
A Peaceful and Tranquil Site
We had a lovely relaxing stay at this peaceful site with great views. Fresh farm eggs available and hopefully, soon - Rays bees will provide delicious honey. The farm dog Mollie, a gorgeous retriever was a welcome friend for our dog Toby. Very friendly obliging owners make this a perfect spot to explore this area.
See you again in July.

Stunning LocalPlacesOfInterest. Peaceful and Lovely. One of our favourites!
Beautiful campsite, beautiful location, beautiful people. Came for one night and stayed for three! This CL is unbelievably peaceful with stunning views and dog friendly owners. The woodland walks which are only 100 yards up the road are unspoilt, owned by the forestry commission. The paths, bumpy in places meander in and around the forest with dear and wildlife at every turn. Stunning! This is possibly one of the most relaxing and quiet sites we have ever stayed at. We could let our dogs of the lead (as long as they did not pester the sheep and chickens too much – our rules not the club site owners who are too laid back to be worried about a few inquisitive dogs roaming the site) There was water pumped from their own source (not your ordinary highly chlorinated tap water!). The CL owners are more than happy to recharge batteries and have a generator if all else fails. They even asked us if we wanted anything from the supermarket.
This place is very, very rural; no noise, no street lights, pub 2 miles, but it is the perfect location for North Cornwall beaches and countryside walks. An absolutely lovely site, unspoilt and truly magical. We shall be back.
