This was our 1st visit to this area and we are so glad we found this wonderful CL. Our hosts were very welcoming giving us a comprehensive information sheet about the area/local amenities which they produced themselves as well as telling us lots of extra bits and bobs that were really useful. You can walk to Slimbridge Wetlands Centre in about 20 minutes down a quiet lane and across 2 fields direct from the site. There are also numerous public footpaths within minutes of this CL and a real bonus is the Gloucester and Sharpness canal (which you cross to get to the Wetland Centre) which you can walk or cycle in either direction. We had a lovely meal at the Tudor Arms and they have a great selection of food and local ales all very reasonably priced and very tasty (those we tried) Each pitch has an individual electric and water point and there are also 3 hard-standings. Plenty of room between pitches and there is a really good waste emptying area including umpteen recycling bins for everything nicely screened. All in all at £12.00 per night and it being adults only and their free range eggs being delicious we cannot wait to return.
