Lovely site with one drawback

The plus points: level, well-spaced pitches with individual water taps, ( two grass, three hard standing which are usually reserved for motor homes). The pitches are perhaps a little on the short side. The site was extremely peaceful, truly rural and sheltered with no traffic noise. There were hourly trains to Gloucester, Bath and Bristol at Cam and Dursley Station just ten minutes drive away. Slimbridge Reserve is just over a mile away. The site is on a national cycle trail, and there's the opportunity close at hand for some good walks. However, what was in all other respects a good holiday was blighted by the damage I did to the rear end of the van. Yes, the gate is comfortably wide, but entry necessitates a very tight turn from a very narrow lane, bounded on the offside by a high brick wall, and through the gate is bounded by hedges at right angles on both sides. I clipped the back end going in and had an inch to spare coming out. So, if your van is 7.18 metres as mine is and you're towing it with a long estate car, you'll be hard pushed to avoid damage.

Many thanks for leaving a review and we are pleased that you enjoyed the Site. We are sorry to read you damaged your outfit and had difficulty with the entrance. The CL Owner has contacted us as he wants to let people know if they have any concerns about the entrance regarding their outfit size to please look at picture 7 which shows the space available to access the site. He also wants to assure people that they have had twin axles accessing the site with no difficulties. He is very sorry that you had damage to your ‘van and hopes this does not put you off from visiting again in the future.
