Another peaceful stay

This is my second stay at Mill Farm. The site is perfectly placed for walking into Wells, yet quiet and peaceful. There are several good pubs and restaurants in Wells, and a Coop. Wells beach is about a mile along the spit or take the bus which runs back and forward from the town. Buses also run along the coast The site amenities are basic but functional, with a couple of toilets and showers. The views are across paddocks to the sea and the site is dog friendly. On arrival it's not always easy to get a response at reception which might be a problem if it's your first visit and you don't know the layout. Booking is via email and straightforward.

Lovely site but could be better with a few tweaks

This site is nice, lovely views, easy walk into Wells, nice to see horses on holiday. It was quite expensive considering the facilities are very tired and shabby. The toilet block is just about adequate. I was going to try the showers but the look of them put me off, a bit too grubby and lacking in privacy. It's clearly a very popular site in a great location but needs to have a bit spent on refurbishing the facilities for it to be good value for money.

Lovely peaceful stay

We arrived late afternoon in our motor home, given our pitch for the night and given the brief of the site. Set up and then took the short walk across the field to the town for our pub dinner. The site was nice and quiet with no issues at all..a good stop for convenience of the town.

Relaxing stay at this CL

We spent 4 nights here in November 2021. Two of us in a 6m Motorhome. The site has 6 pitches and basic facilities - clean toilets (with luxurious toilet paper!) and push button showers which were hot but could have done with more regular cleaning. Drinking water and elsan disposal on hand. The site is very horse/livery oriented and everyone had at least one dog. 15 minute walk into Wells. 10 minute walk to bus stop for coastal routes east and west. Friendly welcome. We paid £20 a night including 10A hook up.

An Excellent CL in a Good Location

An excellent CL in a good location. Well tended with all 5 available pitches on firm grass. Slight downhill slope but possible to pitch at an angle to give good views of Wells Port. Water and disposal facilities located together at CL entrance. 10A electrical hook-ups. BT mobile signal good on 4G and TV reception fair. The location is great with a route across the field into Wells and a short walk to all local facilities. Good restaurants and pubs with most selling seafood and good beer. Very convenient for coastal path, walking, birdwatching and cycling. We found electrical supply adequate having set 10A limit internally and we only used on board facilities so unable to comment on site shower and toilet. Yes, the price is a little higher than the average CL but in this location that is acceptable to us.

Overpriced for what you getb

Decent enough position to town that’s where the plus ends , £18 per night which have never paid for a cl , electric constantly tripping even with minimal electric in use so had use our gas , the worse thing was the showers , old shed , floor swimming with mud , nowhere to hang clothes, one shower out of use so only one other which I had to wait for , worse thing started to have a shower trying to dodge the mud and realised I was covered in white paint , the door had obviously been painted with emulsion and when the previous person showers left the cubicle with wet paint , covered my clothes , worse cl have ever stayed on , check your maintenance we stayed 15th jan , no wet paint signs anywhere , couldn’t find anyone to complain to as leaving

Good location and views

Large site with options of where to pitch . Good views of sea from site and easy access to Wells next to sea by short walk. Facilities basic , toilets and shower available but didn't use as not heated  and a distance away. No handstanding , part sloping but easy to level . Advised it was well drained for motorhome but after a few days of rain it was fingers crossed as we eased the motorhome off .. not sure we would have managed had we left a day later. A good site for peace , quiet , views and access for walking and town.

Just back from 3 nights last week, great CL with basic shower facilities and toilets - always clean. Des very friendly. Water, bins and grey waste on CL field very handy. 5 minute walk through field to Wells town with pubs and shops etc. Great estuary views over Wells, town very dog friendly for food/drink.
