A Gem of a site

We booked on here for 4 nights . Owners were helpful and friendly. The site was well kept with very good size spacious pitches, in a garden style setting. Electric hookup, and water to each pitch. 10amp be aware, no problem to us. Chemical emptying and bin area in a cabin, very clean and COVID secure. On the site of a garden centre and growers with tea rooms, serving freshly baked cakes & savouries. Lovely country walks in surrounding area, pub just 10 minutes walk away. Secured by electronic gates.

Fantastic site

Our second time here and once again thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well appointed pitches. Each has its own water and hook up. Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely countryside. Dog walks close by. The tea room is on site and serves great food. Mark is so helpful and will do anything he can to help. Great site.

What a site

This site is local to us and is our weekend retreat when we can get there, the owner Mark and his wife Jane are so pleasant and helpful, It is sited on a garden centre which is Family run which is very good value and has a lovely Tea Room with home baked cakes and scones which are lovely and morish. Each hard standing pitch is a generous size and has its own electric point and water tap and there is a car park to out your car on and save the grass around your pitch once you are sited. Overall we feel this is a fantastic site which we are worried that when it gets known we will have a job to book onto for that odd weekend away

What a CL should be!

Arrived for what should have been a 4 night stay to find a lovely, well placed CL on a lawned area with very large gravelled pitches. Each has its own hook up and from December 2019 each has its own water tap. Newly planted perimeter hedging is growing nicely and will enhance the site even more by summer 2020. We had a major problem with our caravan whereby the axle had to be removed and sent to Scotland for refurb. Mark, the CL owner, couldn’t do enough to help and made the whole issue so much easier. We ended putting the van into his storage area, minus the axle, whilst it was repaired. He lent us tools, supplied us with a crate to ship the axle and generally kept us informed of progress by text and calls. We ended up staying nearly three weeks! In a nutshell, we couldn’t have been in a better place to get this sorted, and would recommend the cl without a doubt. Mark endeavours to keep his pitch price low. Currently £14 a night is top value and we hope to return when in the area next time.

A great site

A well thought out CL with 5 large well spaced, level hard standing pitches so that you can site your unit anyway you like and not be in your neighbours way. Nicely landscaped area, and very secure. The owner had lots of time for everyone on site and was friendly and approachable. The adjacent plant nursery had lots of stock to look around and the on site café did lovely home made cakes as well as breakfasts etc. A couple of issues we discovered- the hardstanding was a bit loose so the pegs for the awning wouldn't stay in. Not a problem while we were there as it was not windy, but could be a problem. We had a problem with our electric and couldn't run our heating and fridge together, we ended up using the heating on gas (it was -2 overnight!) We raised both these points with the owner and he is looking into them and I am sure that by the next time we visit they will be sorted.

Lovely CL

We had the pleasure of staying for a weekend in October 2019. New Puppy Experienced his first Caravan Trip. The Owners are warm and welcoming, the Cafe does a Lively Coffee and lunch which was very welcome and tasty. The WC facilities are more than adequate. We where lucky to obtain the Super Pitch with Water Hook up. We very much look forward to visiting again and for a longer weekend next time. David and Angela

Excellent CL with a very warm welcome

What a wonderful CL which is very well thought out in terms of layout. We had a great welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here. It was easy to find and convenient for all the major villages and towns you might want to visit. We will definitely return as we would like to see how the site develops. Thank you.

Tranquility+Huge pitches+Tea shop+Nursery+Properly dog friendly=Perfect CL!

A stunning newish CL. Great communication on booking, good directions (Mark rang to check we knew the route in advance), super easy access, even with a large pickup and twin axle, and such a friendly welcome from both Jane and Mark..in fact from the whole family including the resident doggies! The CL is immaculate with lovely level hardstanding pitches, well spaced apart around a circular plant bed and the hedging is maturing nicely. Facilities were good, clean and user friendly. The site is positioned in a gorgeous rural area behind a charming nursery (worth a good look round for retail therapy and there was lots of advice on plants and shrubs from the ladies). The nursery also has a tea shop open all day for snacks, light bites and a sumptuous afternoon tea (so many tantalising homemade cakes.. no chance for the diet here!). There were plenty of walks from the site and easy access to all the usual places of interest such as Duxford and Cambridge. The highlight for us though was that this is a really dog friendly site...a large safe field for off lead and the cafe is completely dog friendly ..inside and out...oh and expect a hello from the well behaved resident pack too! Mark and Jane have obviously put a huge amount of work and effort into this new site and are keen to share all their ongoing plans for future ideas with you. ..so worth a visit..it will definitely be a huge favourite for us now.
